Ned Williams ********************************************** The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA March 5, 1986 Submitted April 2006 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Joncie Eugene McMurry Funeral services for Joncie Eugene McMurry, 70 of Winnsboro, were held at 10 a.m., Feb. 20, in the First United Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Floyd Hawthorne officiating. Interment was in Providence Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home. A native of Winnsboro, he was born Oct. 2, 1915. He was a retired employee of the State Highway Department and a veteran of World War II. He died Feb. 11, 1986, following a lengthy illness. Survivors include his wife, Thelma P. McMurry, Winnsboro; two sons, Joncie MrMurry Jr. and Milburn L. McMurry, both of Winnsboro; one sister, Bertie Mae Killen, Winnsboro; two half-sisters, Nettie Johnston, Winnsboro and Annie Reagan, Kerman, Calif. Pallbearers were Simmie Ray Welch, Jack Heath, Edward Welch, Nathan Hawthorne, Randy Welch and Brad Welch. *********************************************************************** The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA March 26, 1986 Submitted Feb. 2006 by: Glenda Warner Boyd W. E. Ned Williams Funeral services for W. E. Ned Williams, 80, of Liddieville, were held at 10:30 a.m., March 25 in the Boeuf River Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Amstutz and the Rev. Bruce Cardin officiating. Interment was in Ogden Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. He was a retired farmer and a cattleman and a member of the Boeuf River Baptist Church and New Hope Masonic Lodge. He died on March 23, 1986, following a brief illness. Survivors include his wife, Mabel Madden Williams of Liddieville; one son, Glen L. Williams, Crowville; three daughters, Jean Eaker of Richmond, La., Faye Jones of Mangham and Elaine Davis of Wisner; one brother, Issac Newton Williams Jr., Liddieville; one sister, Emma Ross, Liddieville; one half-brother, Donnie Williams, Liddieville; two half-sisters, Margaret Sharp, Winnsboro and Dawn Grayson, Baskin; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Greg Davis, Bobby Eaker, Jerry Glen Davis, Don Bennett, Bobby Jones, Merit Williams, Greg Bailey and Steve Bailey. *********************************************************
