Rolen ********************************************** The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA August 6, 1986 Submitted by: Glenda Warner Boyd Evvielean Emfinger Funeral services for Evvielean Emfinger, 62, of Winnsboro, were held at 4 p.m., Aug. 2 in the First United Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Floyd Hawthorne officiating. Interment was in Harris Cemetery, under the direction of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home. A native of Winnsboro, she was born Oct. 28, 1923. She was a housewife and a member of Winnsboro First United Pentecostal Church. She died on July 31, 1986, following a lengthy illness. Survivors include her husband, Dewey Emfinger, Winnsboro; one son, J. E. Emfinger, Winnsboro; two daughters, Margaret Swillie and Lessie Sutterfield, both of Winnsboro; one sister, Georgia Guravedy, West Monroe; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Randy Rollins, Betley Rollins, Bruce Rollins, Jerry Rollins, John Browning and Nathan Hawthorne. ************************************************************ The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA August 6, 1986 Submitted by: Glenda Warner Boyd Earl Lannie Gilmore Funeral services for Earl Lannie Gilmore, 55, of Winnsboro, were held at 2 p.m., Aug. 4 in the Chapel of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home. Interment was in Fort Necessity Cemetery, with the Rev. Roy Moore and the Rev. John Williams officiating. A native of Ft. Necessity, he was born Feb. 27, 1931. He was a farmer and a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He died on Aug. 3, 1986, following a brief illness. Survivors include his wife, Nell B. Gilmore, Winnsboro; one daughter, Linda Ann McGraw, West Monroe; two brothers, Allen Gilmore, Extension and Tom Gilmore, Fort Necessity; two grandsons and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Allen Ray Gilmore, Gerald Gilmore, Tommy Gilmore, Kenneth Gilmore, Lynn Bushan, Gary Dunham and David Dunham. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA August 6, 1986 Submitted by: Glenda Warner Boyd Drewey 'Bitsy' Hendry Sr. Funeral services for Drewey "Bitsy" Hendry, Sr., 68, of Winnsboro, were held at 2 p.m., August 2, in the Chapel of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home. Interment was in Ogden Cemetery with the Rev. Floyd Hawthorne and the Rev. Kelly Wayne Clark officiating. A native of Winnsboro, he was born Oct. 16, 1917. He was a 30 year retiree from the State Department of Transportation and a member of First United Pentecostal Church of Winnsboro. He died on July 31, 1986, following a brief illness. Survivors include his wife, Lillian Tarver Hendry, Winnsboro; two sons, D. W. Hendry Jr., Atlanta, Ga. and Ralph Hendry, Wisner; three daughters, Maxine Oster, Eufca, Okla., Diana Scriber and Mercill Womack, both of Winnsboro; one brother, Louis Wayne Hendry, Winnsboro; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Marion Collier officiating. Interment was in Crowville Masonic Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and was a member of the Huffman Methodist Church. He died on July 29, 1986, following a lengthy illness. Survivors include his wife, Modelle Hopson of Huffman, Texas; one step-daughter and son-in-law, Marjorie and Gene Neighbors of Humble, Texas; one sister, Vera Boyett of Crowville; two granddaughters, Tammie Cryer of Porter, Texas, and Debbie Swanson of San Jose, Calif.; one great-grandson, Anthony Cryer of Porter, Texas. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA August 6, 1986 Submitted by: Glenda Warner Boyd Woodrow (sic) Woodroe L. Rolen, 65, of Cotton Valley, formerly of Winnsboro, were held Aug. 1 at Unity Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Interment was in Cotton Valley Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home. The Rev. J. E. Tipton and the Rev. Mike Holloway officiated. He was a veteran of World War II and a heavy equipment operator for 30 years. He died July 30, 1986, following a brief illness. Survivors include his wife, Louise Warlick Rolen, Cotton Valley; one son, Wade Rolen, Minden; and one daughter, Judy Rolen Brown, Shreveport; four grandchildren; three brothers, Marshel Rolen, Denver, Colo., Henry and Douglas Rolen, Winnsboro; three sisters, Dorothy Antley, Pineville, Esther Halley, Monroe, and Ruth Ingram; and a host of nieces and nephews.
