Carl Garvin and the Rev. Alfred Garvin officiating. Interment was in Harris Cemetery, under the direction of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home. A native of Franklin parish, he was born June 4, 1915. He was a farmer and a dairyman. He died on Jan. 21, 1987, following a brief illness. Survivors include his wife, Louise Clark, Baskin; one son, the Rev. Butch Clark, Baskin; three daughters, Mary Bartholomew, Buras, La., Shirley Ashley, Raymondville, Texas, and Faye Johnson, Baskin; four brothers, J. A. Clark, Delhi, J. W. Clark and C. R. Clark, both of Winnsboro and Dalton G. Clark, Modesto, Calif.; two sisters, Tennie Lewis and Eva Killian, both of Winnsboro; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were J.W. Casiday, C. W. Wright, Leo Thornhill, Sr., Billy Wayne Wright, Jim Wright and Lynn Jones. Alternates were Lynn Casiday and Larry Casiday. Buford Brady officiating. Interment was in Lone Cherry Cemetery. A native of Delhi, he was born Oct. 30, 1963. He was a gin laborer. He died on Jan. 20, 1987 following a brief illness. Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Dear, Baskin; three brothers, Roger Kelly, Columbia, Johnny Ray Dear, Panola, Texas, and Delton Gene Dear, Winnsboro; one sister, Debra Lynn Dear, Baskin; four nieces and three nephews. Larry Eubanks and the Rev. Virgil Harris officiating. Interment was in South Central Cemetery, Wisner, under the direction of Winnsboro First National Home. A native of Franklin Parish, she was born Sept. 17, 1904. She was a retired clerk for a dry goods store and a member of South Central Baptist Church. She died on Jan. 21, 1987. Survivors include four sons, Aubrey Roberts, Charlie Roberts and Henry Roberts, all of Wisner, Bentley K. Jimmy Shepherd officiating. Interment was in Prewitt Cemetery, Mangham. She was a lifelong resident of Mangham and a member of Mangham Methodist Church. She died on Jan. 21, 1987, following a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Myers, a native of Winnsboro. Survivors include two sons, Claude V. Myers, El Dorado, and Charlie R. J. B. Johnson officiating. Interment was in Gethsemane Cemetery, Winnsboro, under the direction of Richardson Funeral Home. He died on Jan.18, 1987 following a brief illness. Survivors include his wife, Nancye V. Fields, Winnsboro; one son, Lorin Warfield, Monroe; seven brothers, Hall Fields, Grambling, the Rev. Deacue Fields Jr., Roosevelt Brown and General Scott, all of Winnsboro, Paul Fields, Dallas, Texas, Henry Scott, Los Angeles, Calif.; and three grandchildren. Interment was in Crowville Masonic Cemetery with the Rev. John Burchell and the Rev. Marion Collier officiating. She was a member of Crockett Point Baptist Church, Crowville. She died on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1987 following a brief illness. Survivors include her husband, W. R. Sikes, Crowville; one daughter, Mrs. Orelle Atkins, Crowville; two brothers, W. B. Antley, Shreveport, Malvin Antley, West Monroe; four sisters, Mrs. Arzelle Head, Start, Mary Henry, West Monroe and Pauline Riser and Vera Peavy, both of Winnsboro; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
