Oakley Edwards officiating. Interment was in Holly Grove Cemetery, Wisner, under the direction of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home. A native of Wisner, she was born Feb. 14, 1898. She was a housewife. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Wisner. She died on Aug. 26, 1987, following a lengthy illness. A.C. Gammill and Rev. Chuck Harbin officiating. Burial will be in the Delhi Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Delhi. Mrs. Rester died Friday September 11, 1987 at the Richland Parish Hosiptal in Delhi following a long illness. Survivors include her husband, N.J. (Newton Jackson) Rester of Delhi; two sons, Jerry Rester of Monroe and Kenneth Rester of Laverne,OK; two brothers, James Tucker of Chattanooga,TN and Dennis Tucker of Shreveport; five sisters, Odessa Johnson of Delhi, Adell Black of Delhi, Ruth Fuller of Delhi, Edna Walters of Lakeview,GA and Henrietta Carpenter of Roxie,MS and 7 grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Wayne Evans, Eddie Fuller, Leland Black, James Nash, Donald Robinson and Douglas McKay. Woodson McGuffie, the Rev. Bruce Cardin and the Rev. Paul Amstutz officiating. Interment was in Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. She was a lifelong resident of Winnsboro, a housewife, and a member of the Boeuf River Baptist Church. She died on Thursday, Sept. 10, 1987, following a lengthy illness. Survivors include two sons, Rodney Temple and Randy Darrell Temple, both of Winnsboro; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Price Turnage of Winnsboro; one brother, Paul Dale Turnage, Winnsboro.
