Interment was in Ogden Cemetery with the Rev. Joe Aulds officiating. A native of Winnsboro, she was born April 22, 1913. She was a housewife and a member of Temple Baptist Church. She died on April 9, 1988. Survivors include her husband, Frank Elkins, Winnsboro; one daughter Geraldine Givens, Jena; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were John A. Cuney, Arthur Davis, J. L. Hendrix, J. P. Interment was in Providence Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. George Sherman officiating. A native of Olla, she was born Sept. 28, 1914. She was a housewife. She died on March 31, 1988, following a lengthy illness. Survivors include her husband, Herbert D. Johnson, Winnsboro; one daughter, Marcele Kincaid, Winnsboro; one sister, Alay Mae Lee, Urania; two granddaughters, Debbie K. Price and Lea Ann Kincaid, both of Winnsboro; one step-granddaughter, Kay R. Richards, Dover, N. Wayne Smith and the Rev. Floyd Hawthorne officiating. Burial was in Ogden Cemetery. He died April 16 in the Richland Parish Hospital in Delhi following a lengthy illness. He was a farmer, a retired school bus driver for Franklin Parish schools and a member of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ. Survivors include his wife, Hazel Nichols of Mangham; four sons, Leon Nichols Sr. of Vidalia, Leo Nichols Sr. and Cecil Nichols, both of Winnsboro and Alcie Nichols of Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Irma Burge of Winnsboro and Mary Davidson of Crossett, Ark.; eight step-children, Louise Howard, Douglas Childress, Betty Romero, Carl Childress and Ronnie Childress, all of Mangham, Jean McClure of Lake Charles, Marie Hicks of West Monroe and Tina Traxler of Archibald; four brothers, Joe Nichols of Bastrop, Claude Nichols of Shreveport, Alci (sic) Alcie Nichols of Las Cruces, N. M., and W. V. Nichols of Winnsboro; 24 grandchildren; 24 step-grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 34 step-great-grandchildren.
