Pat Jackson and the Rev. Lunsford officiating. Interment was in Crowville Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home. A native of Beech Creek, she was born March 31, 1898. She was a housewife. She died on Oct. 8, 1988. Survivors include one son, Elmas P. McCarty, Bossier City; five daughters, Pauline McCarty, Monroe, Blondell Gebhart, Sanger, Calif., Catherine Shane, Farmersburg, Ind., Darlyn Little, Winnsboro and Evie Sanders, Haughton; two sisters, Ruth Parker, Crowville and Etoile Hammond, Naples, Fla.; 19 grandchildren and a number of great and great-great grandchildren. Singer Funeral services for Martha B. Singer, 67, of Clinton, were held on Friday, Sept. 30 in the Chapel of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home. Interment was in Ogden Cemetery, with the Rev. Joe Aulds and the Rev. Wayne Smith officiating. A native of Natchez, she was born May 11, 1921. She was a housewife. She died on Oct. 28, 1988, following a brief illness. Survivors include two sons, John Singer, Longview, Texas and Tab Singer, Winnsboro; one daughter, Darlene Crowell, Austin, Texas; two sisters, Thelma Wynn, Clinton and Ophelia Stephens, Shreveport; three brothers, A. V. Burt, G. C. Burt and E. C. Burt, all of Winnsboro; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Marion Collier and the Rev. Virgil Harris officiating. Interment was in Holly Grove Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. She was a charter member of Holly Grove Baptist Church. She died on Oct. 4, 1988, following a lengthy illness. Survivors include two sons, Albert C. Smith Jr., Jewett, Texas and Bluford "D.D." Smith, Wisner; two brothers, Roy Beach, Wisner and Howard Beach, Fort Necessity; three grandsons, Randy Smith, Howard Dee Smith and Stephen Smith; and two great-grandchildren. A native of Mangham, he was born Dec. 6, 1915. He was a farmer and a veteran of World War II. He attended Lone Pine Baptist Church. He died on Oct. 8, 1988. Survivors include his wife, Nettie Vickers, Winnsboro; one daughter, Linda Nell Busby, Winnsboro; one son, George Ronnie Vickers, Winnsboro; two sisters, Pearl Lightsey and Georgie Allen, both of Delhi; and five grandchildren. Interment was in Harris Cemetery, near Crowville, with the Rev. Lavelle Hales officiating. She was a telephone operator with Bellsouth and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and a member of First United Pentecostal Church of Delhi. She died on Sept. 26, 1988, following a brief illness. Survivors include one son, J.T. Williams Jr., Monroe; one daughter, Jennifer Ann Reeves, Mercedes, Calif.; six sisters, Leora Keene, Monroe, Geraldine Reynolds, Oak Grove, Jeanetta Ingram, Winnsboro, Sarah McQuillin, Monticello, Miss., Dorothy Parker, Winnsboro and Carolyn Hightower, Rayville; four brothers, Hardy M. Interment was in Lone Cedar Cemetery with the Rev. S. B. Boyette and the Rev. Wayne Smith officiating. A native of Baskin, he was born May 12, 1924. He was a veteran of World War II and was retired from the highway department. He died on Oct. 5, 1988. Survivors include his wife Pauline Williamson, Baskin; one daughter, Marsha Turner, Baskin; nine sons, Jimmy Williamson and Lavelle Williamson, both of Mangham, Sidney Williamson, Ralph Williamson, Wayne Williamson, Gary Williamson, Paul Williamson and Mark Williamson, all of Baskin and David Williamson, Georgia; his mother, Julia Ester Williamson, Winnsboro; two brothers, Bill Williamson and Sam Williamson, both of Mangham and 16 grandchildren.
