Interment was in Ogden Cemetery near Liddieville with the Rev. Woodson McGuffie and the Rev. Bruce Cardin officiating. A native of Columbia, she had resided in Winnsboro for the past 57 years. She was a member of the Boeuf River Baptist Church and was the wife of the late L. C. Adams of Liddieville. She died on Sunday, June 18, 1989. Survivors include two sons, Quincy Adams, Liddieville and Buford Adams, Jacksonvill, Texas; one daughter, Nora Lee Maxwell, Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sisters, Emma Coates and Katie Haddox, both of Columbia; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Arlon Adams, Robert Fain, Everett Haddox, G. B. Thompson III, Jerry Van Underwood and Bobby Wood. Interment was in Myrtle Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Don Blackmon and the Rev. Debra Shevlin-Lee officiating. She was retired from Civil Service, where she had worked as the executive secretary for the local board of Selective Service for the 27 1/2 years it was in Winnsboro. She died on June 19, 1989, following a brief illness. Survivors include her husband, Sydney Brooks, Winnsboro; one daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl Steven and James B. Steven of Crowville; one sister and brother-in-law, Lois Shephard and Bill Shephard, of Arlington, Texas; one granddaughter, Samantha Lene Steven, Crowville; her mother-in-law, Naomi Brooks, Winnsboro; one foster brother, the Rev. Don Blackmon, Fort Necessity; one foster sister, Jimmie Smith, Winnsboro; and a host of nieces and nephews. Interment was in Crowville Masonic Cemetery with the Rev. Marion Collier and the Rev. Joe Senn officiating. A former resident of Crowville, he had lived in Little Rock for many years. He was a veteran of World War II and was a disabled veteran. He died on June 18, 1989, following a lengthy illness. Survivors include two brothers, Ezra Buchan and C. J. Buchan, both of Crowville; one sister, Ethel Pierce, Winnsboro; and several nieces and nephews. Survivors include her husband, Johnnie W. Dampier, Wisner; two sons and daughters-in-law, William R. and Patricia Dampier, Brandon, Miss., Daniel Wayne and Dianne Dampier, Shreveport; three grandsons, John Roy Dampier, Steven Patrick Dampier and Jason Dampier. Ingram of Winnsboro, were held on Friday, June 2, at Ogden Cemetery, with the Rev. Bruce Cardin officiating. Interment was under the direction of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home. The baby died May 31, 1989. Survivors other than his parents are his paternal grandfather, Douglas Dale Ingram, Winnsboro; his paternal grandmother, Mary Ingram, Washington Court House, Ohio; his maternal grandmother, Beverly Polk, Winnsboro; paternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald West, Washington Court House, Ohio; and a number of aunts and uncles.
