Rosie Atkins
Funeral services for Rosie Atkins, 67, of Winnsboro, were held
on Sunday, Sept. 24, in the Shiloh Baptist Church, with the Rev.
John Allen III officiating.
Interment was in Daughter of Zion Cemetery of Extension under
the direction of Richardson and Sims Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
She died on Sept. 20, 1989, following a lengthy illness.
Survivors include her husband, Doug Atkins, Winnsboro; three
daughters, Rosie Mae Brooks, Varnie Goods and Edith Atkins, 
all of Winnsboro; one sister, Bertha Neal, Delhi; six sons, Douglas 
Atkins Jr., Alex Atkins, Mac Clyde Atkins, and Alfred Atkins, all 
of Winnsboro, Phillip Atkins, Ferriday and Claudous Atkins, Corry; 
three brothers, Roosevelt Rogers, Monroe, Rubin Rogers, Tallulah 
and Walter Rogers, Winnsboro; 31 grandchildren and 14 great-
grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Donnie Brooks, Daniel Brooks Jr., Deon Brooks, 
Johynn Goods, Varius Johnson, Mark Johnson, Michael Rogers 
and Johnny Rogers.

Dorothy Marie Chapman
 
Funeral services for Dorothy Marie Chapman, 64, of Winnsboro, 
were held on Monday, Sept. 25, in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral 
Home of Winnsboro.
Interment was in Providence Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. 
Francis Williams officiating.
She died on Friday, Sept. 22, 1989, following a lengthy illness.
Survivors include four sons, Jerry Chapman, Lake Providence,
David Chapman, Phoenix, Ariz., Danny Chapman, Idabel, Okla., 
and Dennis Chapman, Sierra Madre, Calif.; her mother, Bessie
Montgomery, Winnsboro; three sisters, Barbara "Bobbie" Burt,
Winnsboro and Phylis Smith and Audry Bailey, both of Wisner; 
one brother, Phillip Montgomery, Monroe; and five grandchildren.

Seamon Davis
 
Funeral services for Seamon Davis, 82, of Liddieville, were held on Saturday, 
Sept. 9, at Boeuf River Baptist Church with the Rev. Bruce Cardin, the Rev. Richard 
DeBusk, and the Rev. Bill Patten officiating.
 
Interment was in Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Winnsboro First National Funeral 
Home.
 
He was a deacon and Sunday School teacher at Boeuf River Baptist Church. He also served 
as the minister of music and had served as minister of music at Temple Baptist Church 
and Fort Necessity Baptist Church. He died on Thursday, Sept. 7, 1989.
 
Survivors include his wife, Meddie Davis, Liddieville; four daughters, Betty Davis 
Arrington, Dry Prong, Virginia Davis Enete, Pineville, Barbara Davis Wiggers, 
Fort Necessity and Wanda Davis Collins, Haughton; one son James Daniel Davis, Dry Prong; 
two brothers, Harvey Davis, Liddieville and Fred Wilson Davis, Fort Necessity; 
two sisters, Iva Garcin and Fleta Davis, both of Winnsboro; 13 grandchildren; and seven 
great-grandchildren.
 
Grandsons served as pallbearers.

Shonni Leigh Haring
Funeral services for Shonni Leigh Haring, 5, of Gilbert. will be held
today , Wednesday, Sept. 27, at 2 p.m., at Holly Grove Baptist 
Church, with the Rev. Billy Graham, the Rev. Robert Jackson and
the Rev. Larry Eubanks officiating.
Interment will be in South Central Cemetery under the direction of
Winnsboro First National Funeral Home.
She died on Sunday, Sept. 24, 1989, from injuries sustained in an
automobile accident.
Survivors include her father, Bryan Haring, Wisner; her half-sister,
Carmel Haring, Winnsboro; paternal grandparents, Frank and Mary
Jane Haring, Wisner; maternal grandparents, Thomas and Lillie
Roberts, Gilbert; and maternal great-grandmother, Mary Kenney,
Gilbert.
Pallbearers were William Trotter Jr., Billy Jack Lewis, Terril Barton 
and Randy Knox.

Stacy Ann Haring
Funeral services for Stacy Ann Haring, 28, of Gilbert, will be held
today, Wednesday, Sept. 27, at 2 p.m., at Holly Grove Baptist

Hermine Margery Harveston
Funeral services for Mrs. Hermine Margery Harveston, 72, of 
Winnsboro, were held on Sunday, Sept. 24, in the Chapel of 
Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery near Winnsboro, with the 
Rev. Frank Houston officiating.
She was a member of Turkey Bluff Baptist Church and was preceded
in death by her husband, W. B. Harveston and one daughter, Mary
Elizabeth "Betty" Caldwell.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Florence and 
Daniel R. Archibald, Cynthia and Craig Hale, all of Winnsboro and
Jane and Claude Frey, Wisner; one son and daughter-in-law, 
David and Judy Harveston, West Monroe; one sister, Maxine 
Pailette, Mangham; 22 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Hal "Rod" Denton, Loyd Dean Boone, Ray 
Strickland, Larry Caldwell, Jerry Reeves and LaVelle Hale.

Laura Mock
Funeral services for Laura Mock, 69, of Baskin, were held on
Saturdy, Sept. 23, at Bethel Baptist Church,with the Rev. E. J.
McFarland officiating.
Interment was in the church cemetery under the direction of
Richardson Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
She died on Sept. 18, 1989, following a lengthy illness.
Survivors include three daughters, Emma Sanders, San Diego,
Calif., and Mary Mock and Barbara Cleveland, both of Delhi; 12
grandchildren and 19 great-grandchidlren.

Clyde Parker
Funeral services for Clyde Parker, 64, of Wisner, were held on
Thursday, Sept. 21, in the Kendrick's Ferry Pentecostal Church 
with the Rev. Jesse Boothe and the Rev. Son Warbington officiating.
Interment was in Oakley Cemetery under the direction of Winnsboro
First National Funeral Home.
He was a lifelong resident of Wisner and was employed at Kiper's 
Hardware for the past 45 years. He was a member of the Wisner
Lion's Club. He died on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 1989.
Survivors include his wife, Claudia Parker, Wisner; two daughters,
Phyllis Kimball and Patricia Kimball, both of Wisner; one sister,
Hattie Piter, Stockton, Calif.; three grandchildren; and a host of 
nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Eldon Armstrong, Donny Williams, J. W. Cavitt,
Louis Ezell, Ed Armstrong and Roosevelt Ferrington.
Honorary pallbearers were Danny Parker, Robert Johns, Ernest 
Kiper Jr., and Ernest Kiper III.

Darrell White
Funeral services for Darrel White, 21, of Winnsboro, were held
on Thursday, Sept. 21, at Winnsboro Second Baptist Church with 
the Rev. Herman Harris officiating.
Interment was in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens under the direction
of Richardson Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
He died on Sept. 16, 1989, following a brief illness.
Survivors include one son, Alfred Teriano Jarrell Doyle, Winnsboro; 
his parents, Clark White Sr., and Mariah Swayzer Smith, both of
Winnsboro; one brother, Clark White Jr. Winnsboro.
Pallbearers were J. W. Wallace, Lonnie Ray Neal, Carrington 
Jackson, Lonnie Lightning, Robert Martin, Keith Elzy, Larry Credit, 
Eric Teats.
