Knipp ************************************************* The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA March 21, 1990 Submitted September 2006 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Katie Elizabeth Guice Funeral services for Mrs. Katie Elizabeth Guice, 87, of Sicily Island, were held Tuesday, March 20, 1990 at Pine Hill Baptist Church near Sicily Island with Rev. Sidney Fletcher officiating. Burial followed in the New Pine Hill Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mrs. Guice died Monday, March 19, 1990 at Jefferson Davis Memorial Hospital in Natchez, Miss. after an extended illness. Mrs. Guice was a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, David Erastus Guice. Survivors include three daughters, Doris Kirby, Harrisonburg; Arlene Bell, Ball; Kathryn Hassell, Baton Rouge; two sisters, Carrie Lea Waites, Natchez, Miss.; Annie Lou Westbrook, Pineville, La.; one brother, James W. Dennis, Jr. Sicily Island; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. W. Knipp Graveside services for L. W. Knipp, 69, of Winnsboro were held Thursday, March 22, 1990 at Ogden Cemetery with Dr. Max Lee officiating. Winnsboro First National Funeral Home directed the service. Mr. Knipp died Wednesday, March 21, 1990 at Franklin Parish Hospital. Survivors include his wife, Doris Knipp, Winnsboro; three daughters, Vicky Anderson, Winnsboro; Peggy Wynne, Birmingham, Ala; Judy Strickland, Greenville, Tex.; two sons, John Knipp, Winnsboro; Charlie Knipp, Winnsboro; and fourteen grandchildren. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
