Jones Austin Funeral services for Fannie Jones Austin , 85, of Fort Necessity, were held Friday , March 23, 1990 at Fort Necessity Baptist Church with Rev. Don Blackmon and Rev. Don Bonner officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mrs. Austin died Wednesday, March 21, 1990 at Franklin Parish Hospital after a brief illness. She was a member of Fort Necessity Baptist Church. Mrs. Austin was born October 6, 1904 to the union of Reubin T. and Mary Bowden Jones. Survivors include her husband Johnnie D. Austin, Fort Necessity; one daughter , Mary Katherine and husband Reggie Parrish, three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Pallbearers were Bonner Wiggers, Ted Coward, James David Smith, Ray Bryan, Burns Grivet, and James Moore. ********************************************* The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA July 11, 1990 Submitted March 2006 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Oma Walker Whatley Funeral services for Mrs. Oma Walker Whatley, age 83, of Winnsboro were held July 4, 1990 from the chapel of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro with the Rev. Harold Hamilton, the Rev. Darrell Harris and the Rev. Wade Robinson officiating. Burial followed in Ogden Cemetery near Liddieville under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mrs. Whatley died July 2, 1990 at Franklin Parish Hospital. Mrs. Whatley, a homemaker, was a native and lifelong resident of Franklin Parish. She is survived by one son, Walker W. Whatley, Vicksburg, Miss.; two sisters, Pearl Simmons and Mearl Coco, both of Winnsboro; two sisters-in-law, Alice Walker and Aneisia Walker, both of Winnsboro, eight grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
