The Rev. John Williams officiated at 2 p.m. Burial followed in Crowville Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home. She died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 1990, at her residence. Survivors include her husband, William Cecil Dotson, Crowville; a daughter, Shirley Brantley, Carthage, Miss.; two sons, Joe Bob Snuggs, Crowville; and Robert Mack Kirksey, Winnsboro; a step-son, Shelby Dotson, Shreveport; step-daughter, Velva Eldridge, Shreveport; a brother, S. B. Caldwell, Crowville; two sisters, Bonnie Kennedy, Winnsboro; and Bernice Watkins, Carthage, Miss.; three step-sisters, Ethel Lord, Winnsboro; Lessie Jewel Boyette, Winnsboro; and Doris Jones, Winnsboro; 17 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. L. M. Major officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery in Wisner under the direction of Richardson & Sims Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Jackson died Aug. 14, 1990 in the Franklin Parish jail following a sudden illness. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Latonya Jackson, Sherman, Tex.; his father, Lee Jackson, Wisner; four sisters, Annie Ford, Long Beach, Calif., Bonnie Estis, Monroe, and Bertha Hawkins and Blanchie Fain, both of Greenville, Tex.; four brothers, Lee Andrew Jackson, Hot Springs, Ark., Richard Jackson, Los Angeles, Calif., Huey Jackson, Rialto, Calif., and Hollis Jackson, Greenville, Tex., and one grandchild. Burial was in a military cemetery near San Bernardino, Calif. on Aug. 17, 1990. Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his mother and father, M. A. Parker and Hardy G. Parker, and two sisters, Madge Pierce and Elizabeth Ann Williams. Major and Manuel Major, both of Wisner. ------------------------------------------------------- The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA August 1, 1990 Submitted March 2006 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Robert Marshall Turnage Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 31, 1990, at Boeuf River Baptist Church for Robert Marshall Turnage, 81, of Liddieville, a member of that church and a retired farmer and cattleman. The Rev. Bruce Cardin officiated in the services which were held at 11 a.m. Burial was in Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home. Mr. Turnage died Sunday, July 29, 1990, at Franklin Parish Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Gladys Turnage, Liddieville; three daughters, Evie Jean Turnage, Covina, Calif.; Peggy Singer, Longview, Texas; and Delilah Storm, Monroe; a son, Robert Marshall Turnage Jr., Aurora, Ill.; a sister, Juanita Jennings, Liddieville; two brothers, Price Turnage, Liddieville; and Bud Turnage, Shreveport; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers were Pete Wiggins, Bud Loflin, John Horne, Dub Simmons, J.P. Nealy and Charlie Ray Jennings. Wooldridge Funeral services for Mrs. Lucile W. Wooldridge, age 88, of Wisner were held Aug. 18, 1990 at First Baptist Church of Wisner, Dr. Milton Williams officiating. Burial followed in Wooldridge Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mrs. Wooldridge died Aug. 16, 1990 at Franklin Parish Hospital following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Wooldridge was preceded in death by her husband, Harry J. Wooldridge of Extension. Mrs. Wooldridge was a retired School teacher and supervisor in schools in Louisiana and California and was a member of First Baptist Church of Wisner. Survivors include two sisters, Mamie W. Moreland, Baton Rouge, and Jera W. Mitchell, Wisner; three nieces, Mary Frances MacCurdy, Baton Rouge, Fay Coco, Jennings, and Carolyn Malone, El Paso, Tex., and two nephews, Dr. J. A. Moreland, Baton Rouge and J. Gordon Mitchell, West Monroe. Pallbearers were M. J. Batey, Perry Williams, Eldon Brown, Charles Watson, Mike Caldwell and Ray Young.
