Charles Davis officiating. Interment followed at Crowville Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home. Miss Parker died Oct. 15, 1991 at the Franklin Medical Center. Born in Winn Parish on Dec. 16, 1906, Miss Parker was preceded in death by parents, Rich and Julia Parker, also of Crowville. She was a lifelong resident of Franklin Parish, where she was actively engaged in cattle ranching. She was employed for many years by the U.S. Postal Service and retired as the Crowville Postmaster. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. L.W. Hammond, Naples, Fla.; seven nieces and nephews, and many friends. Pallbearers were Dr. John T. Little, John Gebhart, Joe Maples, C.B. Leroy Dickinson officiating. Interment followed at Pleasant Hale Cemetery near Baskin under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mrs. Sikes died Thursday at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Rayville after an extended illness. She was a member of the Baskin Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, O.T. Sikes, Baskin: one daughter and son-in-law, Earlene and Dennis Williams, Clayton; one son and daughter-in-law, Alvin and Emma Sikes, Baskin; five sisters, Inez Graham and Ina Milazzo, both of Shreveport; Jessie Mae Cheatwood, Keithville; Janice Lawrence, Clarksdale, Miss.; Ola Fuller, Baskin; three brothers, H.N. Sutton, Crowville; Mack Sutton, West Monroe; Leroy Sutton, Keithville; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Spence Funeral services for Chester E. Spence, 92, Winnsboro were held Friday at Hill Ridge Baptist Church with the Rev. Newton Smith officiating. Interment followed at Providence Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home. Mr. Spence died Tuesday at King Guest Home. He was a charter member of Hill Ridge Baptist Church. Mr. Spence was a retired farmer. Survivors include five daughters, Vera S. Harper, Eloise S. Donnell, both of Winnsboro; Janice S. Zimmerman, Little Rock, Ark.; Margaret S. Thornton and Thelma S. Dale, both of Aurora, Co.; three sons, J. R. Spence, Crowville; James L. Spence and Charles E. (Billy) Spence, both of Winnsboro; two sisters, Rubye Spence and Agnes Walters, both of Rayville; 17 grandchildren; 23 great- grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Marie Wilson, Winnsboro; one daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and E. J. Hardy Sr., Winnsboro; one son and daughter-in-law, Kim and Marilyn A. Wilson, Winnsboro; two brothers, John E. Wilson, Newport, Va.; Ernest J. Wilson, Alberry, Calif.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
