Fowler Funeral services for J. H. Fowler, 78, Winnsboro were held Monday at Community Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Brown officiating. Interment followed at Ogden Cemetery near Liddieville under the direction of Community Memorial of Winnsboro. Mr. Fowler died Saturday at Community Hospital in Tyler, Texas. A resident of Winnsboro, Mr. Fowler was a member of Sardis Baptist Church and was a farmer. Survivors include his wife, Eva Fowler, Winnsboro; one daughter, Hilda Canady, Tyler, TX; three sons, J. W. Fowler and Jimmy Fowler, both of Winnsboro; Douglas A. Fowler, Bossier City; two sisters, Lois Holmes, Tyler, TX; Ola Foster, Chatham; one brother, E. L. Fowler, Tullos; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Grandsons who served as pallbearers were John Michael Fowler, Stacy Brandon Fowler, Ronnie Canady, David Canady, Jeffrey Fowler and Randy Clevanger. ******************************************************* The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA December 18, 1991 Submitted March 2006 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Gladys Simons Funeral services for Gladys Simons, 83, Winnsboro were held Monday at Community Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Cedrick Headric, the Rev. Wayne Stroud, and the Rev. Floyd Hawthorne officiating. Interment followed at Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Community Memorial of Winnsboro. Mrs. Simons died Sunday at the Franklin Medical Center after an extended illness. A resident of Winnsboro, Mrs. Simons was a member of Sardis Baptist Church and a homemaker. Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy Tarver, Winnsboro; two sons, Charles Simons and Donnie Simons, both of Winnsboro; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Wayne Stroud, L. R. Hatten, Mitch Reynolds, J. W. Dean, Earl Albritton and Jerry Fortenberry. Honorary pallbearers were Jacob Lofton and James David Hatten. ******************************************************
