Pete Bradfield officiating. Interment followed at Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home. Mr. Jones died Friday at the Franklin Medical Center. Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Crowe, Grayson; and Lois Bradfield, Munday, Tex.; two sons, H. D. Jones, Winnsboro; Edward Lee Jones, Mangham; one sister, Mamie White, Winnsboro; one brother, Theodore Jones, Winnsboro; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ken Jones, Chris Jones, Shawn Jones, Cale Carraway, Johnny Ray Ashley and Wayne Robinson. -------------------------------------------------------- The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA February 12, 1992 Submitted January 2010 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Pauline McMurray Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, 1992, in the chapel of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home for Mrs. Pauline McMurray, 74, of Winnsboro. Burial was in Providence Memorial Cemetery. Dr Randall Sledge officiated. Mrs. McMurray died Tuesday, Feb. 4, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe. She was a charter member of Temple Baptist Church and a Sunday School worker. She was also a member of Lone Cedar Home Demonstration Club. Mrs. McMurray is survived by her husband, Earnest McMurray, Winnsboro; two sons, Bunny McMurray and Bobby McMurray, both of Winnsboro; a brother, James Dorman, West Monroe; a sister, Elaine Pailette of Winnsboro; and five grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers were John A. Cuny, Jerry Johnston, Donnie Smith, A. J. Franklin, Winton Lofton and Elton Eldridge. ----------------------------------------------------- The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA February 12, 1992 Submitted Feb. 2006 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Willie 'Dude' Nichols Funeral services for Willie "Dude" Nichols, 71, of Winnsboro, were held on Saturday, Feb. 8, 1992, at Community Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Smith and the Rev. Calvin Rashall officiating. Interment followed at Ogden Cemetery near Liddieville under the direction of Community Memorial. Mr. Nichols died Thursday, Feb. 6, at St. Francis Medical Center after an extended illness. He was a retired machinist union representative and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Victory Apostolic Church. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Oraline Nichols of Winnsboro, two daughters, Shirley Rashall of Winnsboro, and Carolyn Rashall of Denver, Colo.; a son, Billy Nichols of Farmington, N.M.; a brother, Alice (sic Alcie) Nichols of Las Cruces, N.M.; three granddaughters, DeAnna Rashall, Andrea Rashall, and Theresa Rashall. Nephews Charles Nichols, James Nichols, Glen Harris, Leon McCurley, Larry McCurley and Brad Lofton served as pallbearers. ------------------------------------------------------------------ The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA February 10, 1982 Submitted September 2006 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Mrs. Susie Thomason Funeral services for Mrs. Susie Dampier Thomason, 96, of Wisner, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, at the Winnsboro First National Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Thomason died Saturday at the Catahoula Parish Hospital, Jonesville, of a long illness. Final rites were conducted in the Holly Grove Cemetery. She was born Jan. 2, 1886, in Louisiana. Survivors include one son, W. E. Thomason, Canton, N.C.; one daughter, Mrs. Melissa Arno of Monroe; two brothers, K. G.
