Paul Kolb officiating. Interment followed at Ogden Cemetery near Liddieville under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mrs. Hendry died Friday at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe, after an extended illness. She was a retired nurses aid, and a member of Boeuf River Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn White and Linda Walker, both of West Monroe; two sons, Doug Hendry, Ruston; and Charles Ray Hendry, Choudrant; one sister, Bonita Turnage, Liddieville; eight grandsons and 13 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jackie Ray Poland, Harold Russell, Milton Albritton, John Horne, Donald Wright, and Donald Holley. Grandsons served as honorary pallbearers. Submitter's note: Doris Hawsey Hendry was born June 9, 1919 in Franklin Parish, LA to the union of Andrew Jackson Hawsey, Jr. and Pearl Adire Smith. She married Julian Theodore Hendry October 26, 1936. She died March 5, 1992. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Talmage Vernon Hawsey, Charles Ransom Hawsey, Laudrick James (L.J.) Hawsey, and Jeff Thomas Hawsey and two sisters, Cora Hawsey Smith and Mildred Hawsey Smith. She was surviverd by two daughters, Carolyn White and Linda Walker and one son, Doug Hendry. -------------------------------------------------------------------------
