"Eddie" Wells, 65, of Winnsboro were held Thursday at Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ near Winnsboro with the Rev. J. D. Sikes officiating. Interment followed at Ogden Cemetery near Liddieville, with military honors, under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Wells died Tuesday at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe after an extended illness. Wells served as a service station manager for Quality Oil and Tire Company from 1962 until 1987, and also owned and operated Eddie's Used Cars from 1978 to 1986. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II, a member of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, Franklin Gospel Music Promotions, and a lifelong member of the V.F.W. Post # 3155, and the D.A.V. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Burks Wells, Winnsboro; one son, Eddie Joe Wells, Cleveland, Tenn.; one step-son, Dan Mask, Sumter, SC; one step-daughter, Sherri Mask Campbell, Sumter, SC; three grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.
