Betty Ann Johnston Mixon
 

Funeral services for Betty Ann Johnston Mixon, 44, of Liddieville were held Saturday at 
Boeuf River Baptist Church with the Rev. Sonny Nugent and the Rev. David Mixon officiating.
Interment followed at Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of 
Winnsboro.
Mrs. Mixon died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1993 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West 
Monroe after an extended illness.
Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Mixon, Liddieville; a daughter and son-in-law, Tabby 
and Ken Wright, Crowville; one son, Scott Mixon, Liddieville; sister and brother-in-law, Kay Lynn and 
Larry Armstrong, Liddieville; one brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Barbara Johnston, Shreveport; 
one grandson, Jake.
Pallbearers were Buddy Jennings, Charles Ray Johnston, Kenneth Morris, Don Williams, 
Bobby Wood and Charles Huey Wood.

Sgt. John D. Wood


Funeral services for Sergeant John D. Wood, 48, of Winnsboro were held Wednesday at the 
Chapel of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Kolb and the 
Rev. Doyle Adams officiating.
Interment followed at Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Winnsboro First National 
Funeral Home.
Sergeant Wood died Monday at the Franklin Medical Center following a sudden illness.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Wood, Winnsboro; one daughter, Jackie Wood, 
Winnsboro; parents, Jack and Edna Wood, Winnsboro, three sisters, Ann Hodge, 
St Francisville, Mae Givens, West Monroe; Debbie Curington, Winnsboro; two brothers, 
Charles Wood, Ferriday; Bobby Wood, Winnsboro.
Pallbearers were MSG James Winderweedle, MSG Rickey Coleman, SFC Bert Beams, 
SFC Ricky Fife, SFC Tom Waters and SFC David P. Burdeaux.
