Blaylock Funeral services for Charlie S. Blaylock, 74, of Winnsboro, were held Nov. 14, in the Chapel of Community Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Smith officiating. Interment followed at Ogden Cemetery near Liddieville under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Blaylock died Nov. 13 in his residence after an extended illness. He was a resident of Winnsboro, a retired state employee and also served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Baskin Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Glenda Nichols and Barbara Nichols of Winnsboro; four sons, Floyd Blaylock and Ray Blaylock, both of Winnsboro, Dennis Blaylock of Marion and Jerry Blaylock of Delhi; three step-daughters, Frances Jones of Jackson, Miss., Pauline Steadman of Marthaville and Omega Price of West Monroe; 15 grandchildren; 16 step-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Serving as pallbearers were Chris Blaylock, Scott Blaylock, Mike Blaylock, Jeremy Blaylock, Clay Nichols, Brian Blaylock, Josh Blaylock, Brandon Blaylock, Jason Rodgers and Greg Tatum. ------------------------------------------------------ The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA November 3, 1993 Submitted September 2009 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Louis Stanley Bryant Funeral services for Louis Stanley Bryant, 84, of Winnsboro were held Thursday at Mulhearn Funeral Home Chapel in Winnsboro with the Rev. Clarence Young officiating. Interment followed in Providence Memorial Cemetery near Winnsboro under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Bryant died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 1983 after an extended illness. Mr. Bryant was a member and former deacon of the First Baptist Church of Winnsboro. He was also a member of the Lions Club, the Winnsboro Chamber of Commerce, and was a Mason. He was a well-known business man and owner of Bryant's Department Store for 50 years. Mr. Bryant was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Clayton Bryant after 55 years of marriage. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Dewanna and Harry Gilbert; Brenda and Robert Gwin, all of Winnsboro; one son, Donald R. Bryant, Shreveport; one granddaughter, Anna Beth Tucker, Baton Rouge; one brother, Aldine Bryant, Monroe. David McGuffie and the Rev. Harry McGuffie officiating. Interment followed in Ogden Cemetery in Liddieville under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Rayville. Mr. Fortenberry died Friday, Oct. 29, 1993 in Rayville after a lengthy illness. He was a life long resident of Richland Parish for over 75 years. Survivors include his wife, Mavis Meeks Fortenberry, Winnsboro; two daughters and one son-in-law, Sue and Don Easterling, Winnsboro; Grace Holloway, Winnsboro; one sister, Grace C. Fortenberry, Monroe; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were G.E. Mrs. Jennings died Saturday, Oct. 30, 1993 at Winnsboro Manor Nursing Home. She was a homemaker and a member of the Boeuf River Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Bill Jennings, Winnsboro; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and Charles Young, Sterlington; Beverly and G. B. Thompson, West Monroe; two sons-and daughter-in-law, Charlie Ray and Byrdie Mae Jennings, Winnsboro; Billy Jennings, Winnsboro; one sister, Lessie Huggins, Sherman, Texas; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Interment followed at Ogden Cemetery near Liddieville under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home. Mr. Thornhill died Nov. 13 in Franklin Parish following an accident. He was a resident of Winnsboro. He was preceded in death by his father, H. P. Thornhill Sr. Survivors are his mother, Hattie Mae Thornhill Dunaway of Baskin; three sisters, Hattie Louise Knight of Iredell, Texas, Barbara Ann Williams of Chattfield, Texas, and Gladys Mullins of Pineville; three brothers, Huey P.
