Jesse Boothe officiating. Interment will follow at Providence Memorial Cemetery near Winnsboro under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Armstrong died Monday, May 16, 1994 at the Franklin Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was a resident of Winnsboro, a retired farmer, and attended Wayside Pentecostal Church. Survivors include four daughters, Georgia Mae Montgomery, Eunice Marie Welch and Eula Faye Smith, all of Winnsboro; and Barbara Jean Guyton, Crowville; one son, Charlie Armstrong Jr., Winnsboro; two sisters, Mary Sullivan and Lois Priest, both of Winnsboro; one brother, Joe Armstrong, Alexandria; also 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Bernard Wolleson, Dennis Wollerson, Dewayne Day, Glenn Day, Carey Armstrong and Danny Priest. Campbell Funeral services for Russell E. Campbell, 79, of Ferriday, were held Tuesday at Sevier Memorial United Methodist Church. The Rev. Karen Davis officiated. Interment was in Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. Mr. Campbell died Saturday, April 30, 1994 at Riverland Medical Center. He was a pharmacist with Vogt's Drug Store for more than 56 years. At one time he worked as a Linotype operator for the Concordia Sentinel. Mr. Campbell, also a former resident of Franklin Parish, was a member ot the Sevier Memorial United Church of Ferriday, the Order of St. Luke; the First Family of Mississippi, served in the U.S. Navy in World War II and was a member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. E.M. and Lucille Campbell, and two brothers, Cordill Campbell and Charles M. Campbell Sr. Survivors include a nephew, Charles M. Campbell Jr. of Warrensburg, Mo.; and two sisters-in-law, Ollie Campbell of Ferriday and Joy Campbell of Shreveport. Pallbearer was Tommy Latham, George Latham, Ray Routon, Billy Bucker, A.B. Mrs. Gates died Tuesday, April 26, 1994 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe after an extended illness. She was a resident of Crowville, bookkeeper with the office of Dr. Joel Eldridge and retired bookkeeper of Hatfield Hardware and Lumber Co. in Winnsboro. Survivors include her husband, Clyde Gates, Crowville; one sister, Audrey Fox, Crowville; also a host of nieces and nephews.
