Clyde Boyett

Funeral services for Clyde Boyett, 59, of Winnsboro were held Monday at Community 
Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Ref. Billy Gueringer and the Rev. Ron Charrier 
officiating.
Interment followed at Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral 
Home of Winnsboro.
Mr. Boyett died Thursday, Dec. 22, 1994 at Richland Parish Hospital in Delhi after an 
extended illness. He was a resident of Winnsboro, a farmer, and a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include three daughters, Margaret McVay, Crowville; Joyce Forrest, Winnsboro; Sandy Chapwick, 
Vidalia; one son, C.W. Boyett, Vidalia; three sisters, Ann Hupp, Okla.; Shirley Smith, Winnsboro; 
Inez McVay, Crowville; one brother, Charles Boyett, Monroe; also nine grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Richard Earl Smith, Stanley Rice Jr., Pretice Jones, Junior Jones, David Richardson 
and Roy Reeves.

Bertis N. Brown

Funeral services for Bertis N. Brown, 75, Monroe were held Friday at Mulhearn 
Funeral Home Chapel in West Monroe with the Rev. George Bonner officiating.
Interment followed at Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brown died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 1994 in Monroe.
Survivors include one daughter, Virginia Ellen Brown Kalinowski; one son, James E. Brown; 
two granddaughters, Terri Lynn Glass and Stephanie Brown; one grandson, Tommy Kalinowski; 
one great-grandchild; one sister, Mamie White; four brothers, Lannie McCarty, Odell McCarty, 
Rosefield McCarty and Ernest McCarty; also a number of nieces and nephews.
