Ash, 83, of Gilbert were held Friday at Riser First National Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Harper officiating. Interment followed at Providence Memorial Cemetery near Winnsboro under the direction of Riser First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mrs. Ash died Thursday, Nov. 14, 1996 at Franklin Medical Center. She was retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, St. Louis, Mo. Mrs. Ash is preceded in death by two brothers Jesse and Claudie Sewell. Survivors include her husband, Wayne Ash, Gilbert; sister-in-law, Gladys Gaudette, Popular Bluff, Mo.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Harold and Betty Ash, Buxico, Mo.; Lenny and Mildred Ash, San Anna, Calif.; three nieces; Helen Johnson and Doris Pickett, both of Gilbert; Jenny Marioneaux, Winnsboro; one nephew, Claudie Sewell, Winnsboro; seven great nephews, one great niece,seven great great nephews, two great great nieces. Neal Fryer officiating. Interment with Masonic rites followed at Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Grayson died Saturday, Nov. 2, 1996 at his residence. He was a resident of Winnsboro, a truck driver, served in the United States Army during World War II, and a member of New Zion Baptist Church and Liddieville Masonic Lodge #328. Survivors include his wife, Hazel P. Grayson, Winnsboro; one son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Kay Grayson, Mangham; one sister, Louise Santone, Fort Jones, Calif.; also two grandchildren, Colter and Nicky Grayson. Pallbearers were David Green, Billy Hebert, Aaron Hebert, Newt Winters, Sonny Boutwell and Michael Porter. Mrs. Hawsey died Thursday, Nov. 7, 1996 at Golden Doors of Franklin Parish, Inc. She was a member of Boeuf River Baptist Church. Mrs. Hawsey is preceded in death by her husband, L. J. "Broad" Hawsey. Survivors include two sons, Glen Hawsey and Jerry Hawsey, both of Winnsboro; one sister, Clara Murray, Mangham; one half-sister, Lanie Bell Albritton, Calif.; one half-brother, Clarence Russell, Calif.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. He was a native and resident of Franklin Parish, retired equipment operator, and a member of the Pentecostal faith. Mr. Jones is preceded in death by a son, Earl Jones, and a daughter, Shirley Hutto.
