Bass Funeral services for Joyce J. Bass, 64, of Wisner were held Friday at South Central Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Eubanks and the Rev. Ricky Adams officiating. Interment folowed at Holly Grove Cemetery under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mrs. Bass died Thursday, March 26, 1998 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. She was a resident and native of Franklin Parish, a homemaker, and a member of South Central Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Joan Harris, Wisner; two sons, Robert Bass and Matthew Bass, both of Wisner; one sister, Sadie Trahern, Wisner; one brother, Huey Batey, Jr. Jennings; also nine grandchildren. Johnston Funeral services for Florence E. Johnston, 82, of Winnsboro were held Saturday at Riser First National Funeral Home Chapel in Winnsboro with the Rev. Bobby Brown officiating. Interment followed at Ogden Cemetery in Liddieville under the direction of Riser First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mrs. Johnston died Thursday, April 23, 1998 at St. Joseph Nursing Home in Monroe. She was a long time member of Lone Cedar Baptist Church. Mrs. Johnston was preceded in death by her husband, James Landis Johnston, who retired as butcher at Brown's Grocery Store in Winnsboro. Survivors include two sons, John E. Johnston and William D. Johnston, both of West Monroe; one sister, Edna Mae Pruitt, Imperial Beach, Calif.; three brothers, Odell Henry, Erie, Pa.; Dave Henry, Wisner; George Henry, Philadelphia, Pa.; five grandchildren and four grandchildren. Pallbearers were Dennis K. Johnston, Barry D. Johnston, Steini Hrafnsson, David H. Johnston, A. J. Interment with full military rites followed at Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Norman died Saturday, March 28, 1998 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe after an extended illness. He was a native and resident of Franklin Parish; a school bus driver, was a member of the Baptist faith, and retired from the United States Air Force having served during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam era. Survivors include his wife, Betty Norman, Liddieville; two daughters, Renae Collins and Wynona Wyatt, both of Nashville, Tenn.; one son, Gregory Norman, Orlando, Fla.; two sisters, Daisy Underwood and Juanita Wright, both of Liddieville; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews. Members of the U.S. Air Force served as pallbearers. Scott Covington and the Rev. Hershal Clanton officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Mrs. Womack died Saturday, April 18, 1998 in Memphis, Tenn. She was a member of the Fort Necessity Baptist Church and retired from the Franklin Parish School System. Mrs. Womack was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lawson Womack, Sr., and parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. G. "Brack" Taylor; and three grandchildren. Survivors include six daughters, Kathryn Talley, St. Martinville; Ernestine "Tina" Robinson and husband, Si, of Ferriday; Annette Darden and husband, Billy; Brenda Wade and husband Michael, all of Calhoun, Marcia LeLeux and husband, Michael, of Alexandria; Lisa Henry and husband, Joe, of Winnsboro; six sons, Charles Wayne Womack and wife Elise, of Shreveport; Robert Lawson Womack Jr. and wife, Peggy, of Indianapolis, Ind.; Rickey Womack and wife, Mercill, of Winnsboro; Donald Womack and wife, Martha Kay, of Mangham; Ralph Womack and wife, Dianne, of Opelousas; Glen Dale Womack and wife, Judy, of Harrisonburg; two sisters, Edna Johnston, Winnsboro; Verdie Mae Beach, Wisner; two brothers, Barney Taylor and James Taylor, both of Winnsboro; 33 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
