Carter Sr. Funeral services for Luther E. Carter Sr., 25, of Jonesville were held Saturday at Good Road Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Stacy Walker and the Rev. Russell Hathcock officiating. Interment followed at Ellard Cemetery under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Carter died Thursday, April 30, 1998 at E.A. Conway Medical Center in Monroe. He was a resident of Jonesville, a carpenter and was a member of the Pentecostal faith. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Ashley Carter. Survivors include his wife, Candy Carter, Jonesville; two children, Emily Carter and Luther Elbert Carter Jr., both of Jonesville; parents, Richard and Virgie Carter, Monterey; grandparents, Ethelbert and Adell Paul, Jonesville; Lorena Carter, Ferriday; Irvin and Geraldine Duplis, Jonesville; one sister, Yolanda Carter, Monterey; two brothers, Richie Carter, Lake Charles; Benjamin Carter, Monterey; also a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Fulton McGraw and the Rev. Hugh Boswell officiating. Interment followed in Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton under the direction of Riser First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mrs. Graves died Friday, May 1, 1998 at Franklin Medical Center. She was a member of Pioneer Baptist Church in Woodville, Miss. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Ray Graves. Survivors include four sons, Marvin Earl Fletcher, Platte City, Mo.; Ronald Ray Graves, Zachary; Johnny M. Graves, Baskin; Frank B. Graves, Port Gibson, Miss.; Albert G. Graves, Centreville, Miss.; two sisters, Ethel Annette Curry, Humble, Texas; Lillie Laverne Ezell, Tallulah; one brother, Huey Lee Wright, Minnesota; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Raymond Beard officiating, assisted by Ricky Caldwell. Interment followed in Crowville Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Riser First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Lily died Friday, May 1, 1998 at St. Francis Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Mayes. Survivors include his wife, Mary Lilly, Delhi; daughter, Carol Ann Massey, Winnsboro; son, Sidney Lilly Jr., Pine Bluff, Ark.; four sisters, Allene Ferguson, Baskin; Emma Wynn, Delhi; Maebelle James, Denton, Texas; Abrzine Bardin, Winnsboro; two brothers, Clifton Lilly, Baskin; J. Doug White and the Rev. Terry Ganey officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery under the direction of Riser First National Funeral Home. Mr. Lloyd died Wednesday, April 29, 1998 at Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield. He was a member of Savage Creek Hunting Club, a member of Lamar Baptist Church, and a veteran of the army. Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Lloyd, Crowville; children, Brenda Martin, Katy, Texas; Robert Lloyd, Sugarland, Texas; Terry Neathery, Delhi; Theresa Fawvor, Richmond, Texas; Teresa Hawn and Tammy Lloyd, both of Alexandria; sister, Opoline Stroud, Odessa, Texas; Doris Strong, Sicily Island; Dorothy Huff, Crowville; and Geraldine Stockman, Okla.; and 11 grandchildren. Chapman Funeral services for Marion C. Chapman, 67, of Delhi were held Tuesday at Lamar Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Ganey, the Rev. Earl Williams, the Rev. Pat Loftin and the Rev. Marion Collier officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Delhi. Mr. Chapman died Saturday, May 2, 1998 after a sudden illness. He was a native and resident of Franklin Parish, a lifetime member of Lamar Baptist Church where he served as teacher of the Men's Class #1 for approximately 40 years, served on the finance committee as well as other various committees of the church. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr. Chapman served on the Franklin Parish Police Jury for four years. Mr. Chapman was preceded in death by his parents, C. N. and Myrtle Chapman. Survivors include his wife, Betty Fox Chapman; three daughters, Anita Russell, West Monroe; Reba Albritton, Monroe; and Lori Chapman, Delhi; one son, Steve Chapman, Delhi; three sisters, Imogene Slayton, Delhi; Patricia King, Crowville; Ginger Leporati, West Monroe; two brothers, Sharon Chapman, Delhi; Billy Joe Chapman, Crowville; and seven grandchildren. Pallbearers were Harvey Pepper, Douglas Hammons, Larry Garley, Kenny Dunham, Carlos Till, Gerald Jones, John Arnold and Allen Ogden. Clarence Mounts and the Rev. Jack Mulkey officiating. Interment followed in Providence Memorial Cemetery in Winnsboro under the direction of Riser First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Riley died Wednesday, April 29, 1998 at Franklin Medical Center. He is preceded in death by a brother, W. C. Riley. Survivors include sisters, Lola Faulk, Winnsboro; Desta Burns, Shreveport; Vernice Colquette, Crossett, Ark.; Jewel Farrar, Port Nechas, Texas; Eunice Hunn, Port Arthur, Texas.
