J. Alan Miller and the Rev. Joe Aulds officiating. Interment followed in Odgen Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Eldridge died Monday, June 15, 1998 at Franklin Medical Center. He was a deacon at Temple Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Elaine Eldridge, Winnsboro; daughters and sons-in-law, Dianne and Steve Sampley, Meridian, Miss.; Sheila and Paul Lofton; Lisa and Randall Temple; and Susan Eldridge, all of Winnsboro; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Krista Eldridge, Deville, La.; one sister, Doris Knipp, Winnsboro; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers were Bill Robertson, Leo Thornhill, Cecil Pylant, Clifton Davis, Millard Osborn, and J. L. Hendrix. Honorary pallbearers were deacons of Temple Baptist Church. Woodson McGuffie officiating. Interment followed in Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Jennings was a member of Boeuf River Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Jean Young and husband, Charles, Sterlington; Beverly Thompson and husband, G. B. ,West Monroe; Carrie Francis Baird, Winnsboro; two sons, Charlie Ray Jennings and wife, Byrdie Mae, Liddieville; Billy Jennings, Winnsboro; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Mike Jennings, Liddieville; and nine grandchildren, Ray, Mike and John Jennings; Joey and Todd Young; Denise Parker, Rodney Thompson, Ronnie and Kenny Baird; 16 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
