William Busby officiating. Interment followed in Ogden Cemetery, under the direction of Riser First National Funeral Home. V.F.W. Post 3155 conducted the flag presentation ceremony. Mr. Busby died Friday, Dec. 18, 1998 at Franklin Medical Center. He was a member of Sardis Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Addie Busby, Winnsboro; son, George C. Busby Jr. and wife Elaine, of Mangham; daughters, Ann Russell, Winnsboro; Louise Butler and husband, Sam, of Winnsboro; adopted daughter, Sue Long and husband, Dewayne, of Farmerville; sisters-in-law, Stella Folds, Dolly Cobb and Leslie Dean, all of Winnsboro; step-sister, Jeannie Osteen and husband Buddy, of Monroe; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Chris Busby, Andrew Buxton Jr., David Easterling, Joe Easterling, Dion Edwards, Ben Cunningham, Shawn Sullivan, and Todd Wright. Honorary pallbearers were Eddie Toney and Buddy Robinson. Chapman Funeral services for George A. Chapman, 63, of Baton Rouge were held Friday at Rabenhorst East Chapel in Baton Rouge, with the Rev. Wayne Hanks and the Rev. Lee Shipp officiating. Graveside services were held at Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Rabenhorst Funeral Home of Baton Rouge. Mr. Chapman died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 1998 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean Conflict. and was a member of First New Testament Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Anthony Chapman and Mamie Johnson Chapman; brother, A. J. Chapman; sister, Gladys Chapman Holloway. Mrs. Linder died Saturday, December 5, 1998 in Franklin Parish Medical Center. Mrs. Linder was a lifelong resident of Franklin Parish and a Member of the Taylor Bayou Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband Arvil Linder and her son, "Rusty" Linder. Survivors include her son: Charles Linder of Winnsboro, LA; daughter: Jewell Rawles Black of Swartz, LA; brothers: J. James Robert was born August 24, 1982 in Monroe, LA to James Dewey Polk and Barbara Ann Franks Shacklett and he passed from this life on December 6, 2008. He was a heavy equipment operator who loved hunting, fishing, and mudhogging. He was a great father. He loved his job, the outdoors, and life in general. He was preceded in death by his grandpa: Dewey Polk. She was a native and resident of Franklin Parish, retired nurse with Franklin Medical Center Winnsboro and a member of Temple Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Womble (sp Womack). Survivors include her husband, Olan Williamson, Winnsboro; children, Walter Ellerbe and Janie Ellerbe, both of Winnsboro; sister, Earlene Strong, Natchez, Miss.; brother J.G. Womble (sp Womack), Winnsboro; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
