Luther E. Ferguson
Funeral services for Luther E. Ferguson, 77, of Winnsboro were held Monday at 
Riser First National Funeral Home Chapel in Winnsboro with the Rev. Wayne Smith 
officiating.
Interment followed at Coax Cemetery under the direction of Riser First National 
Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Mr. Ferguson died Saturday, Aug. 21, 1999 at Franklin Medical Center. He was preceded 
in death by a son, David Ferguson.
Survivors include his wife, Eunice Ferguson, Winnsboro; daughters, Cathy Fife, Baskin; 
Barbara Ferguson and Linda Ferguson, both of Crowville; sons, Elbert Ferguson, Bentley, La.; 
Willice Ferguson, Columbia; Joe Ferguson, West Monroe; step-daughter, Sherry Henson, Winnsboro; 
another family raised by Aline and Luther Ferguson, J. T. Lilly, Mich.; Clifton Lilly, Baskin; 
Maebelle James, Texas; Abrzine Bardin, Winnsboro; sisters, Orelle Thomas, Shreveport; 
Hettie Colter, Las Vegas, Nev.; numerous grandchildren and great-grand-children.
Pallbearers were Teddy Norwood, Rusty Thompson, Jimmy Norwood, Willice Ferguson Jr., 
Kenneth Ferguson, and David Quimby.

Johnnie Paul 'Pete' Folds
 
Graveside services for Johnnie Paul "Pete" Folds, 75, of Shreveport, formerly of Winnsboro, 
were held Saturday at Ogden Cemetery with the Rev. William Busby officiating.
 
Interment was under the direction of Riser First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
 
Mr. Folds died Thursday, Aug. 12, 1999 at Shreveport V.A. Hospital. He was a member of Temple Baptist 
Church in Winnsboro, a member of the American Legion and V.F.W. Post 3155, a retired WWII Navy veteran, 
and a retired Franklin Parish farmer. Mr. Folds was preceded in death by his wife, Vernice Folds.
 
Survivors include a son, Don Folds and wife, Rita, Shreveport; sisters, Elsie Mae Folds and Marreen Evans, 
both of Winnsboro; Elaine Baines, West Monroe; Modene Valentine, Destin, Fla.; two grandchildren, Jennifer 
and Alicia Folds.
