Mr. Tackel died Sunday, August 27, 2000 at Sulphur after an extended illness. He was a resident of Franklin Parish, a member of First Baptist Church of Gilbert, a Mason, a Shriner, VFW and the Gilbert City Council. He had held various jobs including construction work, farming, school bus driver, bookkeeper and retired from the State Highway Department as a welder. Theresa died Monday, July 24, 2000 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria from an auto accident.
