"Jim" Tims Funeral services for Linnes J. "Jim" Tims, 77, of Mangham were held Saturday, September 23, at Mangham Baptist Church with the Rev. Rick Altman, the Rev. John Williams, and the Rev. Jimmy Eppinette officiating. Interment followed at Gwin Cemetery with Military and Masonic Rites, under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Tims died Thrusday, September 21, 2000 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. He was a native and resident of Richland Parish, retired general trainer with an oil company lab, member of Mangham Baptist Church, William Baker Masonic Lodge # 388 F&AM, American Legion, Purple Heart and VFW. He served with the United States Navy during WW II. Mr. Tims was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Tims. Survivors include his children, James E. Tims of Dallas, Georgia; Barbara A. Graham and Timmy L. Tims both of Taft, California; Patricia L. Hales of Mangham; sister, Gwynette Williams of Winnsboro; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Carlos Trapp officiating. Interment will be in Harris Cemetery near Crowville under the direction of Riser First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mrs. Trapp died Monday, September 25, at Park Place Medical Center in Port Arthur. She had been a resident of Port Arthur for 38 years and was a member of Central Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Travis Trapp of Port Arthur; daughter, Debbie McCormick of League City, Texas; son, Rev. Carlos Trapp of Bastrop; two brothers, Cedric Develle Clark of Shreveport; and James "Jabo" Clark of Winnsboro; four grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Paul Bailey officiating. Interment followed at Rose Memorial Cemetery in Hammond. Mrs. Viener died Saturday, September 2, 2000 at Hammond Nursing Home. She was a native of Wisner and Natchez, Mississippi. She was a former member of the First Church of Christ Science; a long time member of both the Board of Directors of the Natchez Protestant Home and of the Salvation Army; was a member of American Daughters of the Revolution and the Natchez Garden Club. Mrs. Viener was preceded in death by her parents, Georgia Emma Sheffield Brown and Eldon Spencer Brown. Survivors include a son, Harry Edward Viener of Hammond; three grandchildren; two brothers, Eldon Spencer Brown of Wisner; Col. Charles Sheffield Brown of Braithwaite, La.; sister, Georgia Belle Warner of Geneva, Wisconson. She was one of 12 children born to Lee and Nancy Jordan. She married Randall A. Walker in 1926 and to this union five beautiful children were born. In addition to her husband, her two sons preceded her in death, Oran Ovay Walker and R. A. Walker Jr. Her three daughters remained to cherish her memories, Fay Walker Chase, Carmelita Walker Erskin and Gloria Walker Tarver. She also leaves her last remaining sister, Doris Grayson Jordan. Mrs. Walker also leaves behind 13 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was a lifelong member of the Free Methodist Church in Liddieville. Funeral services were held Thrusday, August 31, 2000 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Riser First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro, with the burial following in Ogden Cemetery in Liddieville, with the Rev. David Phillips and Keith Holloway officiating. Mr. Walters was born September 15, 1920 in Crowville and died Saturday, September 2, 2000 at Franklin Medical Center. He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church in Crowville, was a lifelong native and farmer of Franklin Parish and a member of Crowville Masonic Lodge # 370. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Willie Mae Walters of Crowville; a son Jimmy Walters of Crowville; brother, D.L. "Luther" Walters of Crowville; and a grandson, Joshua Quitman Walters. Mr. Weston died Tuesday, September 19, 2000 at Franklin Medical Center. He was born April 12, 1915 in Richland Parish. He was a resident of Franklin Parish, retired farmer and retired security guard with the Louisiana State Prison at Angola. He was a member of Lone Cedar Baptist Church and Mangham Masonic Lodge, and past member of Lone Cherry Baptist Church. Mr. Weston was preceded in death by a brother, Allen Weston; sisters Eunice Dent, Bernice Cruse and Maggie Gandy. Survivors include his wife, Elma P. Weston of Winnsboro; children, Samuel Don Weston of Lake Providence; Johnnie E. Weston of Jena; Mickey Dianne Higgins of Natchez, Miss.; Mildred G. Miles of Berryville, Arkansas; Michael G. Weston of Mount Bellaview, Texas; and Jay B. Mrs. Wilks died Sunday, September 10, 2000 at LaSalle Medical Center after an extended illness. She was a resident of Jonesville, a homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal faith.
