Wayne Stroud officiating. Interment followed at Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Kenny Wayne died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000 at Franklin Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was born Aug. 31, 1953 in Willits, Calif. He was a resident of Franklin Parish, a farmer and cattleman. He is preceded in death by his mother, Vaudie W. Simons. Survivors include his father, Charles B. Simons, Winnsboro; children, Jacklyn Diane Simons and Charles Chance Simons, both of Winnsboro; sister, Kathy McNichol, Baton Rouge; niece, Amy Allemond, Baton Rouge; aunts, Dorothy Tarver, Edna Faye Williams, Earline Simons and Dot Williams; uncle, W. F. Williams; cousins, Candy Massey, Freda Nielson, Neal Simons, Garland Tarver, Larry Tarver, Pat Williams, Wanda Williams, Dan Williams, and Bill Williams. Larry Eubanks and the Rev. Lee Pearcy officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery under the direction of Riser First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mrs. Trahern was born May 8, 1946 in Jigger and died Saturday, September 30, 2000 in Monroe. She was a member of Central Baptist Church. Mrs. Trahern was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben Trahern Jr.; sister, Nita Wilkins; and two brothers, Mike and Bob Linder. Survivors include her son ,Johnny Wayne and wife Deana Trahern of Wisner; daughter, Robin and husband Mike Smith of Clayton; four grandchildren, Allison and Tristan Trahern; Emma and Ruben Smith; six brothers, Milton Linder of Delhi; Greenberry Linder of Tennessee; Boudreaux Linder of Shreveport; Houston Linder of Texas; and Billy "Putt" Linder of Wisner; mother-in-law, Mary Lee Trahern and numerous nieces and nephews. Elton Cahoon officiating. Interment followed at Heard Cemetery under the direction of Community Memorail Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Tullos died Sunday, October 22, 2000 at St. Francis Cabrini Medical Center after an extended illness. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Vivarttas died Wednesday, October 18, 2000 at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport following a brief illness. She was a nurse. Walker Funeral services for Selma R. Walker, 66, of Winnsboro will be held Saturday, October 14, at 1 p.m. at True Gospel Baptist Church in Winnsboro with the Rev. H.E. Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Morning Star Cemetery in Fort Necessity under the direction of Richardson Funeral Home of Monroe. Mrs. Walker died Friday, October 6, 2000 at Franklin Medical Center following a lengthy illness. She was a homemaker. Survivors include six daughters, Betty Doyle and Carolyn Doyle both of Winnsboro; Bernice Washington of Monroe; Martha Sue Walker and Dorothy Walker both of Oakland, California; Marie Walker of Chatham; six sons, Billy Pleasant and Glenn Walker both of Dallas, Texas; Henry Walker of Houston, Texas; Louis Walker of Monroe; Ricky Walker and Keviln Walker both of Oakland, California; her mother Viola Holland; two brothers, Alfred Pleasant and Ernest Pleasant both of Monroe; 44 grand- children and 10 great-grandchildren. Mrs. White was born, January 4, 1909 in Winn Parish ans died Sunday, October 8, 2000 at Plantation Manor Nursing Home in Winnsboro. She was a member of the Hill Ridge Baptist Church. Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin White and a sister, Shirley Harper. Survivors include two nephews, Jimmy Harper and Donnie Harper both of Crowville; and a host of relatives and friends.
