Brown, 82, of Winnsboro, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, at the chapel of Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Interment will follow at Providence Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Community Memorial. Mr. Brown died Saturday, June 23, 2001, at Franklin Medical Center. He was a native and resident of Franklin Parish, retired farmer and attended the Pentecostal faith. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Brown. Survivors include his children, William F. Brown of Jigger, Vernon Gayle Brown of Columbia, Jimmy Brown and Donald Brown, both of Newellton, Warren Brown of Bentonville, Ark., Mary Christine Newman of Farmerville, Kenneth Brown of Gilbert, Edward Brown, Sharon Ross and Theda Bowlin, all of Winnsboro; sisters Beatrice Talbert of Fort Necessity and Doris Wilson of Hebert; 24 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Duchesne) a retired State Social Services employee, died Sunday, June 11, 2001. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m., Wednesday June 13, 2001 at the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Winnsboro, with the Rev. Karen Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in the New Winnsboro Cemetery. Mrs. Duchesne was born July 1, 1920 in Gilbert,La. She and her husband, A.C. were married July 16, 1940 in the Dilbert United Methodist Church, where Mrs. Duchesne grew up in the Christian faith. Much of her adult life, Mrs. Duchesne was a member of the Baskin Presbyterian Church, Baskin,La. Mrs. Duchesne was involved with her husband A.C. in many business activities. At one time she and her husband owned and operated Consumers' Food Market in Monroe. After that, she was Director of Social Services at E.A. Conway Hospital (now LSU Medical-Monroe). Mrs. Duchesne retired from the Department of Health and Human resources in Winnsboro on June 30, 1980. Mrs. Duchesne and her husband enjoyed extensive traveling. However, she suffered a stroke in September 1980, which slowed down their traveling adventures. Mrs. Duchesne was preceded in death by her parents, Charles B. TUCKER and Kate Cordill Osborne TUCKER; brother, William Griffen TUCKER: brother, John Curtis TUCKER wife Lillian; sister, Wilma Beverly TUCKER Harris husband Wilmer; and sister, Marie Emily TUCKER Brocato and husband Joe. Survivors include her husband of 60+ years, A.C. Duchesne, Golden Doors, Winnsboro; three nephews, Charles Brocato and wife Betty of Gilbert; Don Brocato and wife Kate of Alexandra; and James C. "Jimmy" TUCKER and wife Betty of Virginia; two nieces, Jean Marie Brocato Newman of Winnsboro and Beverly Ann Harris of Jena; a special great niece, Catherine Zimmerman of Benton and a host of great-nephews and great-nieces. Visitation will be 3:30 p.m. until service time. Memorials may be made to the charity or church of one's choice. Arrangements were under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mrs. Overstreet died Tuesday, June 19, 2001 at Franklin Medical Center after a sudden illness. She was a resident of Winnsboro, a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by her husband, J. W. Overstreet. Interment followed at Providence Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Community Memorial. Mr. Robertson died Friday June, 22, at Franklin Medical Center after an extended illness. He was a resident of Mangham, a retired farmer, member of Mangham United Methodist Church and Woodmen of the World. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie W. Robertson of Mangham; children Duanne Charles Robertson and wife Harvie of Columbus, Miss.; Johnny James Robertson Sr. of Hot Springs, Ark., Patsy R. Johnson and husband Royce of Baskin; grandchildren Donna Wagner and husband Bo, Johnny James Robertson Jr., Kathy Coleman and husband Kevin, Tammy Harvey and husband John, Keith Johnson and wife Julie, Jeff Johnson and wife Jennifer and Scott Johnson; and seven great- grandchildren. Mrs. Whitney died Wednesday, May 23, 2001 at Franklin Medical Center. She was a resident of Franklin Parish, a homemaker, and a member of Baskin Baptist Church. Mrs. Whitney was preceded in death by her husband, C. Archie Whitney. Survivors include one sister, Letha Powers, Winnsboro, two brothers, Thomas Bryan, Rayville; Elton Bryan, Winnsboro; and nieces and nephews.
