Crum Funeral services for Tommy "T.C." Crum, 83, were held Saturday at the chapel of Community Memorial with the Rev. Floyd Townsend, the Rev. David Mayo, and the Rev. Willie Parker officiating. Interment followed at Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Crum died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Monroe after an extended illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Franklin Parish, a retired farmer, and founder and member of Fort Necessity Pentecostal Church. Mr. Crum is preceded in death by his first wife, Lois Crain Crum, brothers, Edgar Crum, Ray Crum, J.C. "Buster" Crum, Earl Crum, Odell "Irishman" Crum, and Lonnie "smokey" Crum. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Burris Crum, Fort Necessity; children, Linda Jones, Winnsboro; Lynette and Roy Wall, Fort Necessity; Tommy Lynn and Robin Crum of Florida; step-grandchildren, Barbara and Ricky Barton; Byron and Nancy Burris, all of Winnsboro; brothers, Sula Crum, Pete Crum and Huey Crum, all of Fort Necessity; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Christopher Crum, Ron Wall, Gary Max Jordan, Ricky Crum, D.L. Crum, and Terry Crum. Duchesne was born in Baskin,Franklin Parish,LA on April 15, 1920. He departed from this life on October 28, 2001. He was preceded in death by his wife Audrey TUCKER Duchesne, his parents Sam C. and Rosetta Smith Duchesne; a brother, Roderick C. Duchesne and wife Irene; a sister, Valerie Duchesne Gilliam and husband Dwight; and two nieces, Mona Gilliam Asthon and Zona Gilliam Cook. Mr. Duchesne worked off and on for McLemore Enterprises for several years. He was District Right of Way Supervisor at Louisiana Department of Highways. After 26 years with the Department of Highways he retired on June 30, 1980. He was a faithful member of Baskin Presbyterian Church. Memorial services will be at Mulhearn Chapel in Winnsboro, Thursday, November 1, 2001 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Karen Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at New Winnsboro Cemetery on Robinson Road in Winnsboro. He is survived by his nephew, retired Air Force Major Roderick C. Duchesne, Jr. and wife Linda, Haughton, La.; nieces, Dr. Camille C. Duchesne, Midland, Texas; Renee Duchesne Cowles, Midland, Texas; Valda Rose Gilliam Stephenson, Shreveport, and Sammie Joe Gilliam Embry, Cold Springs, Texas; and several great nephews and great nieces. ********************************************** The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA October 17, 2001 Submitted March 2006 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Lela Mae Antley Norman Funeral services for Lela Mae Antley Norman, 85, of Winnsboro were held Tuesday at Gill First National Funeral Home Chapel in Winnsboro with the Rev. David Phillips officiating. Burial followed at Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mrs. Norman was born Oct. 9, 1916 near Winnsboro, and died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2001 at Richardson Medical Center in Rayville. Survivors include her husband, Marshall Norman, daughter, Billie Carter, Prairieville; sister, O. L. Harrison, Baker; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Dennis Fontenot officiating. Burial followed at Start Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mrs. Whitten died Friday, Sept. 30, 2001 at Magnolia Nursing Home in Winnsboro. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Winnsboro and a past member of Crew Lake Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher and music director. She was preceded in death by her husband, Davie Whitten. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Betty McHenry, Monroe; Doris and Charles Jones, Boyle, Miss.; Henrietta and Foy Wooten; and Gladys and Jerry Bartleson, all of Winnsboro; four sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas "Sonny" and Jean Whitten, Camby, Ore.; Joe Whitten, Baskin; Freddie and Marilyn Whitten, Start; Mickey and Lillian Whitten, Winnsboro; three sisters, Louise Watts and Lorene Montogmery, both of Start; Stella Pylant, Synder, Texas; two brothers, Clifford Morris, Valley View, Texas; Dempsey Morris, Canton, Texas; 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
