Todd Perry officiating. Interment followed at Delhi Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Delhi. Mr. Dear was born January 18, 1921 in Richland Parish and died August 27, 2002, at Richland Manor Nursing Home in Delhi. He served in WWII as a paratrooper, and was a member of the Delhi Bass Club and Louisiana Trappers Association. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Luther Dear and Vivian Haire Dear; and a daughter, Carolyn Douglas. Survivors include his wife, Lona L. Dear, Delhi; sons, Willan Earl Dear, Monroe, Stanley Dear, Delhi; daughter, Cheryl Dianne Womble, Winnsboro; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were William Perry, Mark Holland, Roy Brice, Neil Perry, Mike Wilson, and John Chestnut. ---------------------------------------------------- The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA September 4, 2002 Submitted September 2006 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Oliver "Bo" McMahon Jr. Funeral services for Oliver 'Bo" McMahon Jr., 38, of Baskin will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Friendship Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Baskin Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. McMahon died Saturday, Aug. 31, 2002 near Baskin due to an agricultural accident. He was a resident of Franklin Parish, a farmer and attended the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Joan G. McMahon, Baskin; children, Cody McMahon and Nicole McMahon, both of Baskin, mother, Ernestine Glass, Rayville; grandmother Estelle Glass, Mangham; brother, Richard McMahon of Mangham; sisters, Tina Chapman, Winnsboro; and Victoria McMahon, Rayville; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Connie Graham of Richland Parish; also a hosts of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Lennie Graham, Jake Humphries, Chris Glass, Jimmy "Brukey" Davis, Donald Payne, and Charlie Nobles.
