James O. Wiggins Sr.
 
Funeral services for James O. Wiggins Sr. 84, of West Monroe, formerly of Winnsboro, 
were held Tuesday at Gill First National Funeral Home Chapel in Winnsboro with the 
Rev. Boyd Tannehill officiating.
 
Burial followed at Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Gill First National Funeral 
Home in Winnsboro.
 
Mr. Wiggins was born May 29, 1918 in Winnsboro and died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2002 at 
St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. He was a retired mechanic with Louisiana Department 
of Transportation. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth Wiggins Liner.
 
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Jean Wiggins, West Monroe; two sons, Carroll Wiggins, 
West Monroe; James O "Jackie" Wiggins, Jr., Meadville, Miss.; one sister, Ola Mae Mercer, 
Winnsboro; six grandsons, four granddaughters, and eight great-grandchildren.
 
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
