Carolyn Temple White


Funeral services for Carolyn Temple White, 64, of Downsville were held Thursday at the 
chapel of Community Memorial with the Rev. George Bonner officiating.
Interment followed at Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral 
Home of Winnsboro.
Mrs. White died Monday, Feb. 3, 2003 after an extended illness. She was a native of 
Franklin Parish, a homemaker and attended the Baptist faith. She is preceded in death by 
a son, David Scott Temple.
Survivors include her sons, Michael Wayne Temple of Farmerville; Paul Allen Temple of 
Downsville; and Terry Lane Temple of West Monroe; stepson Charles Reeves of West Monroe; 
siblings, Linda Faye Walker of Downsville; and Douglas Devon Hendry of Clay; seven 
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bill Dillard, Charlie Reeves, Steven Traqueille, Barry Lacomb, Matthew 
Reeves and Johnny McMillan.
Honorary pallbearers were Charlie Leonard and Kenny Rogers. 
Submitter's note: Carolyn Yvonne Hendry was born March 4, 1938 in Winnsboro, Franklin 
Parish, LA. She was the daughter of Julian Theodore Hendry and Doris Gertrude Hawsey. 
Carolyn Hendry White enjoyed doing family genealogy.
