Womack *********************************************** The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA March 31, 2004 Submitted Jan. 2006 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Funeral services for Lucy Brown, 90, of Jena, were held at Community Memorial Funeral Home on Sunday with the Rev. Stephen Richardson officiating. Interment followed at Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home Winnsboro. Mrs. Brown died Friday, March 26, 2004 at LaSalle General Hospital Jena. She was a resident of Jena, formerly of Winnsboro. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Bellview Baptist church, and formerly a member of Boeuf River Baptist Church. Mrs. Brown is preceded in death by her husband, Enos Brown; father, Andrew Johnson, mother, Martel Johnson, brothers, Bill Johnson, John Roe Johnson and Landis "Son" Johnson, sister, Alma Dilly. Survivors include son, Jesse and Jeanette Brown, Jena; J. W. Brown, Ft. Necessity; daughter, Barbara Ann Wade and husband, Henry, Fort Necessity; sister, Edna Mae Woods (sic) Wood, Liddieville; five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers were Bobby Woods (sic) Wood, Woodrow Dilly, Jerry Norris, Jeremy Norris, Alvin Hatten and Jeffrey Norris. Womack Funeral services for Joseph Grady "J.B." Womack, 87, of Winnsboro were held Friday at Gill First National Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Harry Boyd officiating. Burial followed at Providence Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home, Winnsboro. Mr. Womack was born to the union of Walter and Elizabeth Warner Womack on July 14, 1916, in Winnfield, and passed from this life Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at Franklin Medical Center. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Winnsboro. He was a retired Franklin Parish farmer and later worked as a security guard at Franklin Medical Center. After the death of his wife in 1996, he moved to Golden Doors Nursing Home, where he was active in various activities, as well as being named "King of Hearts," on more than one occasion. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Lola Folds Womack. Survivors include his daughter: Carolyn Womack Thomas and husband, Jerry; two grandsons: Jarred Willis Thomas and wife Kitty; Johnathan Grady Womack (sp Thomas) and wife, Jessica; three great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn Rose Thomas, Jarred Willis Thomas Jr., and Jesse Wade Thomas, all of Winnsboro.
