He was a life long Franklin Parish cattle and hog farmer. He was active in LA Cattleman's Association and the LA Brand and Theft Committee for many years. He also served as president of Hampshire Hog Associ ation. He was an avid support er of 4H and FHA. Survivors include his two sons: Robert Lee Fletcher, Jr., and Dr. William E. Fletcher; one grandson: Robert Denson Fletcher and wife Bridgette all of Winnsboro; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Thelma "Sis" Fletcher, and a daughter-in-law, Joan Fletcher. Masons will serve as pallbearers. Prior to his years as a Sherriff he was a Louisiana State Trooper for 20 years. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force during the Korean War. In addition to his Military and Law Enforcement career he was involved in the Masonic Lodge Keystone #213 in Sicily Island, he obtained the 32 degree. He was a member of the Louisiana Sheriff's Association, Lou isiana, Lousiana State Trooper Association, and the American National Trooper Association. He was preceded in death by his parents Enos and Lela Tarver Jackson.
