Ramsey, Jr. ******************************************** ******************************************** The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA April 6, 2005 Submitted May 2009 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Ann Hopkins Gober Funeral services for Ann Hopkins Gober, 74 of Wisner, formerly of Hamburg, Ark., were held Tuesday at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Hamburg. Burial followed at Pinewood Memorial Park near Crossett under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mrs. Gober was born to the union of Isaac Samuel and Myrtelene Martin Hopkins on January 14, 1931 in Jones, La., and she passed from this life Sunday, April 3, 2005 at Franklin Medical Center. She was a member of South Central Baptist Church in Wisner, and was a former member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Hamburg. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Aubrey Gober; an infant son, Ronnie Gober, two brothers I.M. Hopkins and Sammy Hopkins; two grandchildren Kenny and Kevin Halcomb. Mrs. Gober is survived one son, Ken Gober, Monroe; Diane Halcomb, Sharon Ferrington, both of Crossett, Susan Hill of Winnsboro, Carol Ricks, Hamburg; Cathy Smithwick, Pine Bluff; one sister, Novelene Arnold of Winnsboro; 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, and numerous other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Gerald Currington, Rick Ferguson, Brad Ferrington, Keith Ferrington, Lance Hill, and Mickey Rice. --------------------------------------------- The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA April 6, 2005 Submitted May 2009 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Charles G. Ramsey, Jr. Funeral service for Charles G. Ramsey, Jr. 74, a native of Rayville and long time resident of Morgan City, will be held at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday) in the chapel of Gill First National Funeral Home in Winnsboro with Rev. Leon Ward officiating. Interment will follow in Harris Cemetery in Crowville. Mr. Ramsey was born to the union of Grant and Annie Bennett Ramsey on Nov. 7, 1930 in Tallulah and passed from this life Sunday, April 3, 2005 at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Nell Sturdivant Ramsey. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Charles Ray Ramsey and Desiree Ramsey of Baton Rouge; grandson, Luke Reece Ramsey; brother John and wife Gay Ramsey; Rayville and sister, Ollie Talley of Lake Palestine, Texas. --------------------------------------------------------
