Jimmy Harper officiating. Interment followed in Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Gill First National Funeral of Winnsboro. She was born to the union of George E. and Lucy Taylor Madden on Sept. 9, 1914 in Winnfield, LA and passed from this life on Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at Franklin Medical Center in Winnsboro. Mrs. Bennett was a member of Boeuf River Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents and her husband L.C. "Ark" Bennett. She is survived by two daughters, Ann Cotner of College Station, TX and Kay Ensminger of Ft. Myers, FL.; two sons, Raymond Bennett and Donnie Bennett both of Liddieville; six grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers were William Butler, Steven Cotner, Leyland Ensminger, Ronnie Ensminger, Ben Price and Clifford Randall. -------------------------------------------------------- The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA June 1, 2005 Submitted May 2009 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Joyce Spillers Funeral services for Joyce Spillers, age 67, of Baskin were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2005 in First Baptist Church Archibald with Rev. Pat Loftin, Rev. Lavelle Spillers, Rev. Jimmy Goodman, and Rev. Dwayne Achord officiating. Interment followed in Friendship Cemetery near Baskin under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro. She was born to the union of Dutch and Mae Craven Arnold on December 14, 1937 near Delhi, La. She passed from this life Sunday, May 29, 2005 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. Mrs. Spillers was a member of First Baptist Church Archibald. She retired in 2002 from Franklin Parish School System as Food Service Manager at Baskin School. In addition to her work at Baskin School, she was a seamstress who enjoyed sewing for family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by husband of 49 years Aubrey Spillers of Baskin; three sons and two daughters-in-law Rev. Lavelle and Diane Spillers of Linville, LA, Randy and Linda Spillers of Shreveport, and Adam Spillers of Baskin; two daughters and one son-in-law Karen "Kay" and Rick Worthington of Casa Grande, Ariz. and Becky Thompson of Calhoun; one sister and brother-in-law Lucille and Sherman Mixon of Winnsboro; one brother and sister-in-law Millard and Cybil Arnold of Jonesboro; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends. Interment followed in Ogden Cemetery in Liddieville with Rev. Paul Perry officiating. Mr. Underwood was born to the union of W. E. and Daisy Norman Underwood on December 1, 1947 in Delhi, LA and passed from this life Thursday, May 26, 2005 near Rayville from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He is survived by two children: Norman Adam Underwood of Fort Necessity and Nicole Leigh Underwood of Monroe; his mother Daisy Underwood; a brother Jerry Van Underwood both of Liddieville; and seven grandchildren.
