Mrs. Banks was born to Henry and Maude Summers Martin in Richland Parish on March 28, 1922 and passed from this life Friday, November 17, 2005 in Franklin Medical Center in Winnsboro. She was a member of Coax Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents, husband Herbert J. Banks, a brother Henry Martin, Jr. and a sister Ola Mae Wright. She is survived by two children and spouses Sandra and Larry Jackson, and Sonny and Georgia Dean all of Winnsboro; four grandchildren Eric Jackson of Ruston, Jeremy Jackson of Winnsboro, Macky Dean and wife Amy of Ft. Thomas People, and the Rev. Woody Rimes officiating. Interment will follow at South Central Cemetery under the directions of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Mrs. Berry was born Sept. 15, 1932 in Ulitily, La. and passed away Sunday, Nov. 20, 2005 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe after a brief illness. She was a resident of Wisner, a secretary for the Franklin Parish School for 21 years, church secretary and Sunday school teacher for many years, and a member of the South Central Baptist Church. Mrs. Berry was preceded in death by her son, james Edward Berry; brother, John Young; and sister Dorothy Evans. Survivors include her husband, Dennis Berry, Wisner; three children, Dennis Ray Berry, Graettinger, Iowa; Carolyn Ann Martin, Gloster, La.; Amy Beasley, Colloerville, Tenn; four sisters, Willie Jean Edwards and Rose Mary McGowen, both of West Monroe; Eva "Fro" Davis, Neterland, Texas; Ann Taylor, Jonesville; one brother, David "Bud" Young, Pascagoula, Miss.; and nine grandchildren. Jimmy Harper officiating. Burial followed at Providence Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home Winnsboro. Mr. Lewis Ferris was born to the union of his parents, A. D. Ferris, Sr., and Dale Hodge Ferris on April 28, 1914 and passed from this life on Sunday, Nov. 13, 2005 at Franklin Medical Center. He was a master mason and a pass member of the Woodman of the World. Mr. Ferris is preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Betty E. Ferris, son: Louis Travis Ferris, and grandson, Chris Hassell. Survivors include children: Herman E. Buford Brady and the Rev. Marion Spence officiating. Ms. Fife was born January 30, 1960 in Winnsboro. She died Friday, Sept. 9, 2005 at Herman Medical Center in Houston. She was a resident of New Orleans and an employee of Otech Shipyard. Ms. Fife was a member of the New Orleans Yacht Club; she was an avid racer and a cruising sailor. Ms. Fife is survived by her partner and friend, Armand Alciatore; son, Bradley Fife and wife Angie; two grandchildren who were the love of her life, Alex Taylore Fife and Michael Bradley Fife, all of New Orleans. Mr. McBroom served as a paratrooper in Germany with the 82nd Air Borne of the United States Army during World War II.
