Williams Jr. ************************* The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA February 15, 2006 Submitted August 2006 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Marie Bennett Services for Marie Bennett, age 67, of Winnsboro were held Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2006 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro with Rev. Jimmy Harper officiating. Interment followed in Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mrs. Bennett was a florist and passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006. She was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Joe Chevallier, daughter-in-law, Hazel Chevallier, and parents, Rena Mae and Curtis Fitch. Survivors include: her husband, Donnie Bennett of Winnsboro; daughters, Patricia Chevallier of Pineville; Kresta Price and husband, Ben of Winnsboro; step-daughter, Donna Shivers of Winnsboro; two sisters, Catherine Vines of Columbia; Jessie Bee Barmore of West Monroe; one brother, Willie Lee Fitch of Monroe; and 10 grandchildren. Williams Jr. Funeral services for William F. Williams Jr. 70, of Liddieville were held Sunday, Feb. 19, 2005 (sic 2006) in the chapel of Gill First National Funeral Home in Winnsboro with Rev. Jimmy Harper officiating. Interment followed in Ogden Cemetery in Liddieville, with Masonic rites and military honor by VFW post 3155. Mr. Williams was born to the union of W. F. Williams Sr. and Annie Dean Williams on July 24, 1935 near Winnsboro and passed from this life Friday, Feb. 17, 2006 in St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. He was a member of Boeuf River Baptist in Liddieville. He was a member of New Hope Masonic Lodge #328 and was a Shriner. He married Dorothy Peevy in Winnsboro on Feb. 11, 1956. He was retired from the United States Air Force after serving his country for over 21 years. After his military career, he and his wife owned and operated an Ultrasonic testing company in Morgan City, before retiring back to his home in Liddieville. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dot Williams of Liddieville; four living children: William F. Williams III of Vicksburg, Miss.; Patricia Ann Brady of Houma, La.; Wanda Jean Hudson of Liddieville, and Daniel Steven Williams of Panama City, Fla.; and a sister Edna Faye Loflin of Liddieville.
