Massey, 59, of Liddieville were held Thursday at Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Kolb and the Rev. Jimmy Harper officiating. Interment followed at Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Mr. Massey was born Jan. 3, 1947 in Hamford, Calif., and passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. He was a resident of Winnsboro, a mechanic, and a member of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Massey; and his step-father, J. E. "Jiggs" Richardson. Survivors include his son, Andrew Massey; mother, Addie M. Garvin Richardson, Liddieville; brother, Jim Massey, Liddieville; two nieces, four great-nieces, and one special cousin. Pallbearers were Randall Garvin, Ronny Garvin, Mike Garvin, Scotty Garvin, Larry Garvin, and longtime friend, Wayne Boyd. Russell Funeral servcies for Rutha B. Russell, 94, of Winnsboro were held Thursday at Boeuf River Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Harper officiating. Interment followed at Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home, Winnsboro. Mrs. Russell was born Jan. 3, 1912 in Ceminary, Miss., and passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at Franklin Medical Center. She was a resident of Winnsboro, a homemaker, and a member of Boeuf River Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for over 65 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Ernest Russell; father, Jonas Franklin Bryant, mother, Ettie (Holmes) Bryant; grandson, Russell Hickingbottom, brother, Hezekiah Bryant. Survivors include two sons, Harroll Russell, Winnsboro; Roy Russell, Gilbert; four daughters, Jean Burns and Annette Faulk, both of Winnsboro; Faye Emerick, Sacramento, Calif.; Peggy Thompson, Burnet, Texas; brother, Abner Bryant, Tyler, Texas; two sisters, Ethel Russell, Moscow, Tenn.; Lucille Davis, Ball, La.; one uncle, a host of nieces and nephews; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
