Thomas Peoples officiating. Interment will follow at South Central Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Mrs. Bearden was born December 09, 1926 and passed away Wednesday September 06, 2006 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. She was a resident of Wisner, a retired Avon salesperson, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Wisner. She was preceded in Death by: Husband-James Lavelle Bearden, Parents-William and Beulah Mae Redding, Grandson-James Raymond Ezell, 3 Brothers and 3 Sisters. Survivors include: Son-Donald Bearden and wife Theresa of Prairieville, La.; 3 Daughters-Cheryl Ann Ensminger and husband Tommy of Greenwell Springs, La., Charlotte Robinson and husband Bill of Prairieville, La., Kathleen Turner and husband Michael of Wisner, La.; Brother-Clifford Redding and wife Olivia of Jackson, Miss. She was also survived by 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. The Pallbearers are Tom Ensminger, Jr., Josh Robinson, Jeremy Turner, Adam Turner, C.J. Ezell, and Tommy Ensminger, Sr. The Honorary Pallbearers are J. Stevens November 2009 Mary Helen Cruse Funeral services for Mary Helen Cruse, 77, of Winnsboro, were held at Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home on Sunday, Sept. 10, 2006, with Rev. Joe Senn and Rev. Floyd Hawthorne officiating. Interment followed at Myrtle Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Mrs. Cruse was born Jan. 8, 1929, in Winnsboro, and passed away Friday Sept. 8, 2006, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center, West Monroe. She was a resident of Winnsboro and the retired owner and director of Rosalee Nursing Home in Wisner. She was preceded in death by husbands: Clovis E. Sturdivant and J.F. Cruse; parents: doll and Beryle Eddis Temple. Survivors include two sons: Dr. Clovis H. Sturdivant of Winnfield; Tiger Cruse of West Monroe; daughter: Eddis Poland of Crowville; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Stevens November 2009 Joseph (Joe) Peppers Funeral service for Joseph (Joe) Peppers, 79, of Winnsboro were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, 2006 in the chapel of Gill First National Funeral Home in Winnsboro with Rev. Marion Collier and Rev. Jimmy Holland. Mr. Lester Thomas, longtime co-worker of Mr. Peppers also took part in the service. Interment followed in Old Bethel Cemetery near Clarks, La. He was born to Edwin and Izena McNaughton Peppers on March 7, 1927 and passed from this life Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006 in Franklin Medical Center in Winnsboro. Mr. Peppers, an avid deer hunter, retired after 33 years with Northeast LA Power Co-operative as a lineman. He was preceded in death by his parents, wives: Nell Peppers and Lavada Peppers, and a son Billy Ray Peppers. He is survived by his son Donnie Joe Peppers and wife Polly of Winnsboro; daughter-in-law Pamela Peppers Nobles of Start; sisters Rose Robinson and husband J.T. of Crowville, and Ethel Crain and husband Landry of Olla; step daughter Martha Nell Lofton of McCall Creek, Miss.; grandsons: Colby Peppers and wife Amy of Winnsboro and Aaron Peppers of Winnsboro; great-grandson his “Little Hero” Conner Peppers; and numerous other relatives and friends. Stevens November 2009 J. Q. ‘Bo’ Weatherly Funeral services for J. Q. ‘Bo’ Weatherly, 65, of Vidalia were held Sunday at Vidalia First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dan Glenn officiating. Interment followed at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home, Vidalia. Mr. Weatherly was born on March 26, 1941 in Franklin Parish, to J. E. and Pearlie Weatherly. He passed away after a lengthy illness Thursday, Sept. 7, 2006 at his home with his family by his side. He was a resident of Vidalia, a retired shift supervisor with Alcoa and a member of the Vidalia First Baptist Church, where he served as deacon and teacher of the New Members class. He also sang for many years in the choir. Bo loved his family, spending time with his children and grandchildren and he was passionate about spending time in nature hunting and fishing with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Bootsie Weatherly; two sisters, Patsy Favors and Delane McKeithen. Survivors include his wife, Donis Smith Weatherly of Vidalia; daughter, Belinda and husband Tim Welch of Vidalia; son, Barry and wife Pam Weatherly of Baker; grandchildren; Justin and Taylor Welch; Chase and Faith Weatherly; sister, JoAnn and husband Bob Wilson of Winnsboro; brother, Hollis and wife Kaye Weatherly of Winnsboro.
