Tommy B. Cotton, Jr. and Rev. Norris Poole officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 PM at Beaver Creek Cemetery near Oakdale, LA. under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro, LA. Mr. Bowlin was a pipeline party chief and passed away on October 15, 2006 after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his parents; Homer Preston Bowlin and Dorothy Lee Rice Bowlin. Survivors include: Wife; Letaine Viscardis Bowlin of Winnsboro, LA. Daughter; April Bowlin of Kinder, LA. Step-Son; Leonard Pilk of Pineville, LA. Step-Daughter; Jeri Pilk of Oakdale, LA. Granddaughter; Asia Richard of Kinder, LA. Granddaughter; Nakira Richard of Kinder, LA. Step-Grandson; James Fisher of Pineville, LA. Step-Granddaughter; Miranda Stanaker of Pineville, LA. Brother; R. H. Bowlin of Monroe, LA. Brother; David Bowlin of Winnsboro, LA. and 4 Grandchildren. Pallbearers will be; Willie Pierch, Ryan Hart, Ricky Hart, Byron Hart, Mike Hart and Thomas Viscardis. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM till 10:00 PM Wednesday, October 18th at Wayside Pentecostal Church. -------------------------------------------------- The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA October 4, 2006 Submitted March 2007 by: Glenda Warner Boyd Sidney Ray Ross Services for Sidney Ray Ross, age 77, of Liddieville, were held Sunday, Oct.1, 2006 at Boeuf River Baptist Church in Liddieville with Rev. Jimmy Harper officiating. Interment followed in Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Ross was an avid outdoorsman, a very respected cattleman and a retired farmer. He was a military policeman with the United States Army, stationed in Germany during the Korean War. He passed away from this life after a battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Emma Ross and brother, Ralph Ross. Survivors include: dedicated wife of 53 years, Margie Sturdivant Ross of Liddieville; four children; Genelle Ross and Gerald Ross, both of Liddieville; Janis Rider of West Monroe; Tommy Temple of Crowville; loving and devoted grandchildren, whom he helped raise; Jarrod Ross Smith of San Antonio, Texas and Jaime Smith of Grayson. He is also survived by five very special grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one niece, and one great niece; a host of cousins and friends. Pallbearers were Jarrod Ross Smith, Stacy Carraway, Heath Hill, Wayne Boyd, Bill Anderson, and Ben Price. Honorary pallbearers were Mack Shelton, Albert Garcin, Robert Earl Williams, and Zelos" Zeke" Williams. Members of VFW Post 3155 conducted a Flag Presentation Ceremony.
