Mrs. Albritton was born May 29, 1923 in Shelbyville, IL, and passed away Monday, Sept. 17, 2007 at Franklin Medical Center in Winnsboro. Mrs. Albritton was a faithful member of Sardis Baptist Church and the Eastern Star Mizpah chapter #15 and a current member of the Mangham chapter #152. She was also a member of Gideons International Auxiliary. She was a loving strong, beautiful woman devoted to her husband, faith, and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl M. Albritton; father, James Wesley Connelly; mother, Margaret (Warner) Connelly; sister, Catherine Stockdale; half sister, Mary Ruth Connelly, and infant brother. Baldridge Sr. The Reverend William E. Baldridge, Sr., 80 of Rayville, La., passed away early on the morning of Friday, Aug. 31, 2007 at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler, Texas following a lengthy illness. He served as a priest in the Episcopal Church for nearly 50 years. Bill was born in Dyersburg, Tenn. on June 7, 1927. He graduated from Dyersburg High School in 1945 and went on to the University of Tennessee at Knoxville where he received a Bachelor's degree in 1949 and a Master's degree in Economics and Finance in 1950. He worked as an auditor for Libby, McNeill, and Libby. He then attended and graduated from Seabury Western Theological Seminary in Evanston, IL in 1958 and was ordained into the diaconate later that year at St. Mary's in Dyersburg, Tenn. On June 29, 1959 he was ordained into the priesthood at Calvary Church, Memphis, Tenn. He served at St. Ann's, Millington, Tenn. as a Navy Chaplain for several years before moving to Monroe, to serve as a curate at Grace Church, Monroe. In 1966 he moved to Rayville, where he served at St. David's as well as St. Columba's in Winnsboro, for forty-one years. He was preceded in death by his parents Ike Elbert and Ada Dozier Baldridge; brother, John Elbert Baldridge; and niece, Sharon Baldridge Johanson. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Vail Delony Baldridge of Rayville; daughters, Kathy Baldridge Sutton and husband Joey of Ruston, Beth Baldridge Smith and husband Carl of Bastrop, Mary Sue Baldridge Knight and husband Kirkland of Tyler, Texas; sons, David Baldridge and wife Chrissi of Memphis, Tenn., and Will Baldridge of Houma, La.; sister, Sue Baldridge of Memphis. Mr. Gravelle was a lifetime member of Winnsboro First United Methodist Church. After graduating from LSU in 1952 and fulfilling his military obligations, he enjoyed a 50 year business career in petroleum marketing in Winnsboro and the surrounding area in association with the Gulf Oil Corporation and ChevronTexaco. He served on the Board of Directors of Franklin BanCorp/Franklin State Bank for 30 plus years, including over two and a half years as Chairman of the Board. Mr. Gravelle worked for many years in civic and public initiatives. He served for four years on the Franklin Parish Police Jury, two as President, and headed the North Delta Regional Planning and Development District for eight years. He was a founding member and President of the Winnsboro Jaycees and the Winnsboro Civitan Club and a member and President of the Winnsboro Chamber of Commerce. He was instrumental in changing the name of the Chamber to include Franklin Parish, encouraging businesses outside of Winnsboro to participate. He served on the Board of Commissioners of Franklin Medical Center for twelve years, three as Chairman. Mr. Gravelle took great pride that he served two years in the Army as a counterintelligence agent, working postings in Korea and Hawaii. He served for three years as a member of the Board of Directors of the Louisiana Oil Marketers Association. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elzie and Caroline Woods; brother, Buddy Woods; sister, Thelma Zeagler; daughter, Mary Kay Woods; granddaughter, Rachel Marie Woods and grandson, Aaron Reese Woods. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Helen Antley Woods; sons, Randy L. Woods, Roger W. Woods, Robert Allen Woods, Bobby L. Woods Jr.; daughter, Carol Anne Adams; brother, Elzie Woods, Jr.;10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; numerous friends. Pallbearers were Bradley Allen, John Woods, Billy Woods, Bretton Woods, Bruce Castilaw, and Darren Johns. Honorary pallbearers were Huey Allen, Audrey Spillers, Warren Nobles, and Woodrow "Shot" Fairley.
