Interment will follow in Harris Cemetery under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Hallie was born in Monroe, Louisiana on February 9, 2002. She passed away on November 11, 2007 in Memphis, Tennessee. Though her years with her loving family and friends were few in number, the dramatic influence she invoked on all she came to know was far greater than could be measured by time. Hallie's gentle, sweet spirit spread to everyone she came in contact with. Though she was often facing circumstances that were far from pleasant, she always managed to find a sweet smile and positive attitude to deal with whatever she was facing. Hallie loved to dance and sing her way through life. She did not need an audience or a planned setting. She only needed music for her inspiration, and her enthusiasm would bring smiles to anyone who had the privilege to be watching. She took great pleasure at the big age of five in being a member of the Franklin Academy Sassy Steppers dance team. She was dancing at pep rallies between trips to Memphis for medical care, but to Hallie, the dancing was far more important than the trips to Memphis. Her life was filled with activity. She was a proud member of Miss Tommy Church's School of Dance. She participated in her first recital this past summer. She loved to play tee-ball. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and she participated in vacation bible school, Sunday school classes, and church nursery activities. Hallie adored her brother, Harrison, and they passed many hours together playing in their yard. Swinging was one of the things that Hallie most enjoyed. This summer marked her first trip to the beach. She played in the sand and ocean for many hours. She was an avid LSU fan just like the rest of her family. Hallie loved to swim. She enjoyed many happy times at the lake this summer with her friends and family. Hallie loved to draw and color. She colored and drew many pictures for some of her favorite people in the past several days and weeks. Her life was full, and she gave her love to all around her. Because of this blessed child, many lives have been touched and changed forever. Her courage and spirit have been a living testimony to the treasure of life. Hallie's parents would like to express their deep gratitude to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The care extended, not only to Hallie but also to her family, cannot be measured. They especially want to express their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Wayne Furman, his Nurse Practitioner, Sandy Kovach; Nicole Thomas, the team of D Clinic, and the nurses and support staff on the second floor of the hospital. They traveled this journey from beginning to end with Hallie and her family, always giving their love and guidance. Hallie shared her life with her parents Beth Ann and Joe, her brother Harrison, and her grandmothers, Carolyn Pailette and Mary Alice Gravelle, and great-grandmother Frances McCoy. Her grandfathers Joe M. Gravelle and Charles Pailette were waiting for Hallie in Heaven and are now enjoying her happy spirit. Her family was filled with loving aunts, uncles, and many cousins: Karen P. Turner and her children, Sully and Sage; Amy and Tom Montgomery; Charles and Debbie Cascio, and Heather; Paul and Debra Gravelle and their children, Mary Beth and Chas. Hallie's life was also filled with so many special friends, far too numerous to name. Teachers, classmates, babysitters, Sunday school teachers, there are so many people who played an important part in her very busy life. The influence of these mentors is beyond measure. Beth Ann and Joe will receive visitors in the Sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church in Winnsboro on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Pallbearers will be Sam Branco, Charles Cascio, Tom Montgomery, Bryan Morgan, Brent Webb and Randy Woods. The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial gifts be made to the First United Methodist Church, 1502 West St., Winnsboro, LA 71295 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 332 N. Lauderdale, Memphis, Tennessee 38103. --------------------------------------------------------------- The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA November 28, 2007 Submitted January 2008 by: Glenda Warner Boyd James Calvin Henderson Funeral services for James Calvin Henderson, 78, of Winnsboro, were held at River of Life Church on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2007 with Rev.
