Mrs. Batton was born Dec. 21, 1937 in Winnsboro, and passed away Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008 at Miss. Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was a resident of Vidalia, a Night Auditor at Passport Inn and Suites, a member of Women of the Moose, and a member of The Jehovah's Witness. She was preceded in death by her father, Gordon Ashley; mother, Inez Ruby (Wallace) Ashley; two brothers: Gordie Ashley and Troy Ashley. Survivors include the father of her children, Roy B. He worked for 14 years as a mechanic at Macon Ridge Tractor Company and later worked as a service repairman for Sears. Known throughout his community for his generosity and wonderful sense of humor, Mr. Dunham was always helping others by providing fresh vegetables from his garden or repairing anything that his neighbors needed help with. He was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Audrey Dunham of Crowville; six children Laverne Clark Huff of Winnsboro, Norma J.
