John Albright offficiating. Interment will follow in New Winnsboro Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Visitation will be in the Fellowship Hall of the church beginning at 10:00 AM until time of service. Mrs. Baker died after a lengthy illness on January 12, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn C. Baker and a daughter, Pat Baker. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.C. Montgomery and two sisters, Anne Montgomery Levert and Mary Montgomery, also preceded her in death. She is survived by a daughter, Bo Baker and a granddaughter, Megan Wilkerson. Mrs. Baker was a graduate of Louisiana Tech and a mathematics teacher in the public schools of Franklin Parish having taught at Gilbert and Winnsboro High School. She was a frequent attendee at the various reunions held by her former students throughout the years. Her students remember her as a beautiful teacher and a stern disciplinarian. She was a long time member of First Presbyterian Church, Winnsboro, where she often supplied flowers in the chancel of the sanctuary. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Oakley Chapter. Pallbearers are elders from First Presbyterian Church: Billy R. Smith, Franklin Clay, Aaron Scott, John Guice, Brad Guice, and Lemar Bullard. Andy Zwicki will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer. He loved God, his wife, children, family and horses. He served in the U.S. Army. Ms. Ross graduated from Fort Necessity High School in 1958; received a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Louisiana Polytechnic Institute in Ruston, LA in 1962; Masters of Education from Northeast Louisiana State College in 1968; taught first year at Patterson High School in 1968; second year of teaching at Crowville High School; and taught 28 years at Winnsboro High School teaching Social Studies and English until retiring in 1993.
