I'm following the path God laid for me. I took His hand when I heard Him call. I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way; I found peace at the close of day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss; Ah, yes, these things I, too, will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow. I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full; I savored much; Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief; Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Life up your heart and share with me; God wanted me now, He set me free. Robert "Bob" Ford, 72 of Clyde, Texas, passed away on Dec. 25, 2009. When God Call our Children When God Calls our children to dwell with Him above, We mortals sometimes question the wisdom of His love. For no heartache compares with, the death of one small child. Who does so much to make our world, seem so wonderful and mild. Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to His fold. So He picks a rosebud before it can grow old. God knows how much we need them, and so He takes but few. To make the land of heaven more beautiful to view. Believing this is difficult Still somehow we must try. The saddest word mankind knows will always be Good-Bye. So when a little child departs, we who are left behind, Must realize God loves children.
