Kincaid Sr. Funeral services for Everett L. Kincaid Sr., 95, of Fort Worth were held May 11, 2010 at Thompson's Harveson and Cole Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Chism officiating. Burial followed at Greenwood Memorial Park. Mr. Kincaid died Friday, May 7, 2010 at his home in Fort Worth. He was born Nov. 20, 1914 in Fort Necessity, La., to Robert Foster and Mae Ross Kincaid. He attended Centinary College in Shreveport, and attended LSU in Baton Rouge. ON July 23, 1936 he married Alice Welch in Gulfport, Miss. During World War II, be became a pilot and was a flight instructor for the Army Air Corps, training pilots in West Texas. After the war, he returned briefly to Louisiana, where he was involved in the family grocery business. He moved to Fort Worth in 1951 and joined Curtis Publishing Co., from which he retired in 1976. He was a member of Arlington Heights United Methodist Church, serving as president of the Men's Bible Class; a member of the Downtown Fort Worth Masonic Lodge AF & AM; the Mosiah Shrine, where he worked at the circus every year; the Fort Worth Club; and the Wednesday Wine Committee. He had vast knowledge of American European wine and was a member of Chapitre Americaine of the Conference St. Etienne, and Alsatian Wine Society, where he held maitre status. Survivors include his wife of 74 years, Alice Kincaid; sons: Everett L. Kincaid Jr. and wife Adelaide, and Douglas M. Kincaid; grandchildren: David E. Cecil Maar officiating. Charles or "Mac" as he was known by friends and relatives was born to Levi and Melvina McKeithen in Winnsboro, La. on April 14, 1933 and passed away at home in Shreveport on May 21, 2010 after a lengthy illness. Burial followed at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans' Cemetery. He was graduated from Crowville High School in 1952. He then entered the U.S. Army and served for two years, including a tour in Korea. After leaving the army, Charles enrolled in electronics school and became a television technician. Mac's career spanned over 50 years. He moved to Shreveport in the mid 1950's, eventually went to work for Holly's Hardware and was employed there for 25 years. When Holly's closed, he opened his own business, Mac's TV, and remained there until 2008 when poor health forced him to close his shop. Charles was a member of Pinecroft Baptist Church. He enjoyed attending church and the fellowship shared by his Adult Couples Sunday school class. Charles is survived by his wife of 24 years, Melba; six brothers: Alton McKeithen of Baskin, Bill McKeithen of Delhi, Russell Garner of Sun City, Calif., Cecil Garner of Wildwood, Fla., Aubrey Garner of Roxie, Miss., and Richard Garner of Bossier City; three sisters: Lula Mae Brinson of West Monroe, Henrietta Lee of Shreveport, and Jenny Byrd of Louisville, Ky. Huey had been a mechanic for a few years and had farmed all of his life. He enjoyed playing music with friends. Burial followed at Coax Cemetery. Mr. Torrey was born on March 24, 1932 at Winnsboro, and died on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at his residence. He was a retired farmer, a member of First United Methodist Church Winnsboro, and served with the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He is preceded in death by his parents Rudy Ralph and Thelma Garner Torrey; and his first wife Diane Holloway Torrey. Survivors include his wife Bonnie J. Mrs. Ulmer was born Aug. 1, 1930 in Wisner, and passed away Friday, May 7, 2010 at Plantation Manor N.H. in Winnsboro. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Magnolia Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Rushing; mother, Essie Rushing; husband, O.C. Ulmer; brother, John Hardy Rushing; two sisters: Polly Temple and Lula Bell Reeves.
