Funeral services for Mr. Donald Wayne Goodman will be 10:00 AM Friday June 4, 2010 at Chase Baptist Church with Revs. Marion Collier and Doyle Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Chase Cemetery under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home Winnsboro. Mr. Goodman, 42, a resident of Chase was born on April 5, 1968 and died on Sunday May 30, 2010 at Saint Francis Medical Center Monroe. He was owner of Goodman Flying Service and Goodman Racing Company; a member of Chase Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge, National Aerial Applicators Association, Louisiana Aerial Applicators Association; a volunteer for Pilots for Patients; and a late Model Series NASCAR driver at Monroe Motor Speedway. He shared the gift of life by being an organ donor. He is preceded in death by his father Bobby Donald Goodman, brother Bobby Earl Goodman, grand-parents Mandy & Cleve Goodman, Curtis and Dolly Cobb. Survivors include his wife Angie Goodman of Chase; children Ashley, Brandon and Julianne; mother Enora Pittman of Rayville; grandson Colton James Goodman; cousin Mike Kramer and family. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and man's best friend Sergeant and Mandy. Pallbearers will be Donald Dale Ashley, Darwin Day, Rachel Eckard, Lee Ezell, Art Goode, Jay Godfrey, Clark McCain, Ricky McLemore and Jim Whitman. Honorary Pallbearers will be GFS Race Team, GFS Employees, Bubba Ezell, Frank Eckard, Ryan Holcomb and Ty Britt. Mrs. Edna Madge Maynor Hatton, 96, of Liddieville, LA passed away early morning of Friday, June 25, 2010 after a short illness. She was born on January 15, 1914 in Washington Parish, Louisiana. In 1919 her family moved to the Winnsboro area. She lived with her parents and siblings on a small farm in the Midway / Sardis Community west of Winnsboro. After graduating from Winnsboro High School in 1931, she worked as a saleslady in several dry good establishments in Winnsboro. Mrs. Edna, as she was known to many, married W. A. Hatton in 1938, and they established a home in Liddieville. She lived in the same home until her death. On August 1, 1940, she was employed as Deputy Registrar of Voters for Franklin Parish at the salary of $ 50.00 a month. She was later recommended and commissioned as Registrar of Voters in 1942 upon the death of the previous registrar, Melvin Stout. She remained in that position for 65 years and 8 months until her retirement in 2006. According to Mrs. Edna, "The work involved a great deal of responsibility and held many challenges. I always tried to conduct the office in an honorable and business like way letting no one influence me to do anything contrary to the rules and laws of the office." In her personal life, she was long time member of Beouf River Baptist Church; she was a member of the Extension Service Home Demonstration Club in earlier years. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Owen and Laura Jean Sheppard Maynor. Her husband of over 50 years W. A. Hatton, preceded her in death in 1991. Her sisters, Ida Nell Keys, Auba Mae McCain and Laura Loraine Miller also preceded her. She is survived by her only child Evelyn H. Good and husband Glenn E. Good of Arkadelphia, AR and of Liddieville. She is also survived by a brother, Lester Maynor; nieces, Bettie Ann McCain Ross, Barbara Miller Rice, Irma Miller Morace, Glenda Maynor Littleton, Kathleen Maynor Erwin, Opal Keyes Smith; and a nephew, Robert Maynor. She was cared for by wonderful ladies: Nancy Johnson, Jolene Brown, Tana Orten, Jessie Townsend and Beth Stephens. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday June 27, 2010 at the chapel of Gill First National Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Perry officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM prior to the service. Interment will follow at Ogden Cemetery. The Maynor-Hatton Scholarship Fund has been established to honor Mrs. Edna and Laura Maynor, her mother. RELJAC Mulhearn Funeral Home Winnsboro, LA Services for Mr. Adam S. Reljac, age 84 of Winnsboro, LA will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 21, 2010 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Winnsboro with Father Dwight DeJesus officiating. Interment will follow in Myrtle Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Reljac was born December 24, 1925 and passed away on June 18, 2010 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents; Leopold and Frances Volff Reljac, brothers; Tony Reljac, Philip Reljac, Joe Reljac, and Frank Reljac, sister; Frances Reljac, and step son; Alan Payne. Mr. Reljac was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where he served as an Altar Boy as a child. He was a member of the Winnsboro Class of 1944 of which he was called to service prior to his graduation. His niece received his diploma in his place. He was a World War II Navy Veteran serving on the U.S.S. Washington. After the war, he came home and began a career in the paper production industry in several places throughout the country, finally settling in Fort Smith, AR as plant manager with Manville Paper Company until his retirement in 1990. Survivors include: Wife of 35 years: Mary Tate Reljac of Winnsboro, LA. Brother: Leo J. Reljac of Morton Grove, IL. Step-Daughter: Linda Konert and husband Jim of St. Louis, MO. Step Grandchildren: Christee Evans and husband Matt of St. Louis, MO. Steven Konert, Pamela Konert, Craig Payne and Cory Payne. Step-Great Grand children: Kyle and Hannah Walker and Blake Evans. 11 Nieces and Nephews: Mary Helen and husband Basil Smith Jr., Antoinette Dupree and husband Leon, Annie Comiskey and husband Bill, Mona Barbay and husband Curtis, Mary Lou Swanner and husband David, Joseph Kelly Reljac and wife Kathy, Pattie Ann Ryan and husband Jim, Mark Reljac and wife Melissa, Leo J. Reljac, Jr., Pegie Price and husband Chris, and Jeannie Karol and husband John. Many Great Nieces and Nephews. God Children: Chelsea Tarver, Micah Paola, Pegie Price, and Susan Nielson.
